Those are a few good jokes!

I don't see any point or use behind this one, honestly. A slow 70 tonner with SHS? The weapons have good ranges but with only one gun doing 10 or more points of damage, this seems more like a one-off during the jihad, like factories producing the old (and sometimes primitive) Hammerhands or Battleaxe instead of anything production-worthy.

At the least, I'd drop a good 1/2 ton of armor for a second Magshot- there's no real reason not to have two, even tho the guns kill mechwarrior far more than anyone realizes (with the whole pilot damage on critical hits and all).

At least you cant accuse him of being a power gamer.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

I was a Major *pain* before
But I got a promotion.
I am now a General *pain*
Yay for promotions!!!

Who said anything about jokes? The editor in the program allows almost all of the new weapons to be added in with minimal issue.

The mech could be used as you suggest, it could also be something seen on Solairs or even a backwater world or two...

Minimal issue? I had to download several 3rd party patches before I upgraded to SSW.

The only reason to use Heavy Metal is for building (ugh) LAMs- but it's factoring of BV and newer rules means I can rarely use them for any game or situation that's serious.

If you say so. I had no issues taking the info from the books entering it via the custom weapons editor and saving it. And the third party patches worked well without any issues.

As for SSW, well it's not the official program and it is not user friendly and in my opinion it is poorly put together. But each to their own I guess. I will stick with Heavy Metal Pro series until Rick either folds or I stop playing the game.
