OK...this is getting really sad...doesn't anyone around here even read the classic scifi books?

Dorsai by Gordon R. Dickson, who is counting among one of the top 5 all time scifi writers of the last 60 years.

Tell me at least someone has heard of the man and his work...

Both groups still value the warrior ideals...that makes them a very good comparions...be thankful I am not asking for a comparaion between the Arkadians from SK vs an Elemental....

An Elemental would kill a Dorsai with little effort. A Dorsai would kill a normal person in a moment. Like Zippy was saying, Dorsai are soldiers, Elementals are warriors, there is a subtle but very great difference there. For Dorsai it is not all about the fighting like it is for an Elemental or any other clanner. Also Dorsai are not the hulking monstrosities that Elementals are.
"But it SHOULD be a spectacle! It should be grand and exciting to us all! I'd hate to think that we've become so jaded that we find even our greatest tiumph, resurrecting the Star League, simply one more obligation."
