Preamble – Major changes to the Canon history prior to the arrival of the Clans:
First,
The Capellan Confederation State ceased to exist during the Capellan’s Fall War of 3039 -3040, when their Capitol of Sian fell to the Federated Commonwealth. The remaining Liao Children, Sun-Tzu and Kali Liao however were able to be spirited away to their Aunt upon St. Ives prior to the fall.
The Federated Commonwealth declare the world of New Earth, located within the Terran Corridor the new Capitol of the Federated Commonwealth and re-name it Anschluss.
Second,
During the latter days of the Succession War the Duchy of Andurien succeeds from the Free Worls League and together with the Magistracy of Canopus declare their alliance.
Their First joint action is to strike at the Capellan World of Beetlejuice – the world is soon thereafter annexed by their Andurien Canopus Alliance.
Third,
1 June 3035, Janos Marik his two sons Duggan and Thomas as well as several representatives from the diplomatic corps are assassinated when a bomb hidden in a portable holo-table exploded.
Duncan Marik narrowly escaped death after being called from the room on an urgent matter just minutes before the blast.
By order of succession, Li Weaver, Speaker of parliament, promptly offered the position to Paul Marik, the next in line of succession – he refused – suggesting his younger brother, Duncan Marik, who Paul suggested that by his rank and military experience should be offered the position.
Though upon Duncan’s recommendation to the position of Captain-General Li Weaver, a shrewd politician, cited the Rules of Succession Act and the Captain-Generalcy was thus transferred to the only legitimate member in line – and in so doing ensured Duncan would not be the next Captain-General.
Li Weaver declared Paul’s twelve year old daughter, Corinne Marik, the new Captain- General of the Free Wolds League.
3039 with the start of the Capellans Fall War Duncan Marik launces a coup against the now 16 year old Captain General Corinne Marik forcing her to flee to the Independent state of Andurien - Canopus.
Corinne then disappears from sight as a Civil War rages within the Free Worlds League. (She has taken refuge within the Federated Commonwealth’s NAIS College of Military Sciences with the assistance of First Prince Hanse Davion)
3042 Captain General Corrine Marik returns to Andurien and the Free Worlds League with an army of Mercenaries supplied by the the Federated Commonwealth. Over the next six months she regains control over the Free Worlds League capturing Duncan Marik in the process.
Duncan Marik is executed shortly thereafter for treason – his family are sent into exile.
The Following relates to the Clan’s Invasion of the Inner Sphere and major Inner Sphere events (Nt: This includes changes that have been made to the original Cannon history as follows.. )

March: The First Wave of Operation Revival begins – Clans invade the Inner Sphere;
Can Smoke Jaguar utilizes an orbital bombardment upon Turtle bay in response to an insurrection by their captured people;
May: The Second Wave of Operation Revival begins;
August: The Third Wave of Operation Revival begins;
The DCMS launch Operation Vengeance upon Clan Smoke Jaguar – Kamikaze aerospace fighters armed with Alamo Nuclear warheads destroy the majority of Clan Smoke Jaguar’s Warships.
December 13: ilkhan Leo Showers is killed by Tyra Miraborg over Radstadt, halting Operation Revival;

Commando teams are beginning to be inserted behind the lines upon Clan held worlds with orders to “set them ablaze”
Regimental Aerospace Combat Teams are assembled by both the Federated Commonwealth and the Draconis Combine - Retrofitting of Non-Atmospheric Dropships begins thus creating PT Craft armed with Naval Lasers and Larger Military Ordinance in an effort to combat the Clans Naval Warships.
September 3: The Federated Commonwealth’s Fenrir Teams begin their operations within the Periphery and the Deep Periphery – hunting for Clan re-supply bases and fleets;

July 1: Terran Peace Proposal held by ComStar upon Terra - This results in the resurrection of the Star League and the SLDF which decides upon a long term plan to annihilate all the Clans within the Inner Sphere;
September: All Inner Sphere States begin building Pocket warships, warships and large aerospace carriers with the assistance of ComStar.
October: The Word of Blake split from ComStar –taking refuge within the Free Worlds League – The Free Worlds League signs a HPG s service contract with Word of Blake whereas all others remain with ComStar;

Vlad of the Wolves issues a trial of grievance killing the Jade Falcon Khan which re-establishes Clan Wolf from Clan Jade Wolf
October 15: Phelan Kell arrives at Arc Royal with his Clan Wolf (The Warden Remnants) there they become an independent force against the Clans;
Behind the scenes upon the Clan Home Worlds
Utter disbelief in those Clans that were chosen to undertake Operation Revival – they have failed and are effectively unable to move for the next 15 years!.
As time progresses it is clear to those Clans remaining on the Clans Home Worlds that these Inner Sphere Clans were not up to the challenge and thus new Clans should be provided with the opportunity to ensure the final Victory.
In a series of closed sessions to those Clans who remained behind on the Clans Home Worlds lengthy debates took place as to how the transference should take place. It was decided upon that two new Clans should be allowed to travel to the Inner Sphere and once there issue a trial of absorption upon two of the Inner Sphere Clans. Thus one way or another, additional forces will ensure the Clans with victory.
The Grand Trial
In order to determine which two Clans would be allowed to compete for a Trial of Absorption with Clans Jade Falcon and Wolf. The Clan Home Worlds Khans decided upon a Trial of position.
Each Clan may choose any two Mech-Warriors and Mechs to a total tonnage of 125 tons and one star of elementals and one aerospace fighter of no more than 65 tons. They will then be inserted into a grand arena (a wooded area of 250 square kilometres) there they will be placed a minimum of 25 kilometres from another Clan – they will then hunt each other. The last remaining two Clans will be declared the winners and will be allowed to travel to the Inner Spheres Deep Periphery.
(I will leave who these two Clans are blank – as each ‘home group’ can fight this out on their own to determine their two Clans)
Once in the Deep Periphery
The Home World clans will arrive early September 3058 just as the final fighting between the Jade Falcons and the Wolves Concludes, allowing them the time to determine the final trial of Grievance.
Shocked at the destruction they have wrought upon each other these two new Clans will each be issued with a Trial of Absorption upon these two clans within the Deep Periphery where Clans Jade Falcon and Wolf will fight upon five worlds to determine their fate.
Fenrir Forces
They will soon find themselves caught between two four Clan forces intent upon destroying each other.
Their changing mission could be surveillance, continuing with hunting Clan depos and Cargo ships, or being recalled back into the Inner Sphere to Camelot Command to conduct Operation Reciprocity missions as directed. Note they also may be directed to assist with Commando / Special Forces Unit
Operation Reciprocity
During the final stage of the Clans Jade Falcon and Wolfs Refusal War the SLDF will attack these two Clans in a bid to first test the new SLDF’s combat ability/effectiveness (as weall as the new Omni-Mechs and anti-Clan units), also to blunt these two clans operational effectiveness one and for all whilst they are damaged (thus staking advantage of the situation) also to reclaim lost Federated Commonwealth territory.
Thus they too will issue a challenges and take captured clan personnel as the SLDF bondsman in a reverse Clan Invasion – ie start with the Clans Wave 5 and work backwards to one. Or they could take them from the side – from the ARDC.
You may want to consider Operation Bulldog as a template for this invasion - however additional forces will be required due to the establishment of additional SLDF Units (By FC and DC) as well as WOB units (Introduction of Shadow Units?)
Forces Involved will include all units from all the Star League members, including warships etc
The exact size I will leave up to each ‘home unit’ to determine. However it would be best if you considered using all new anti-Clan attack units (armed with all new IS Onmi-Mechs etc.) to be the spear point. Then put in the elite House Regular Units as backup just in case these new forces need it.
Time Line
This I will also leave to each ‘home unit ’ to determine for themselves as to how far the Inner Sphere proceeds before whatever force / forces emerge from the Deep Periphery in what can only be described as a possible second Invasion by a new combined unit or the return of an old foe intent upon regaining any lost territory to the Inner Sphere’s so called SLDF.
The game is wide open with many paths to take depending upon who loyalties reside with.
So how will the First War of the new SLDF eventuate?
As you can see this is just the bare bones for the campaign - if you believe I should create a more comprehensive game schematics let me know and I will get on to it.

Changing expectations as to the growth in new RCTs and RACTs must be considered within the Clans 15 years estoppel of advancing toward Terra.
During this time frame with a maximum output through each states military industry complex would it be too unrealistic to consider that both the FWL and the DC establish one new Anti-Clan RCT and RACT per year whilst the FC could produce 2 RCTs and RACTs?
Plus with a moderate amount of Dropships, Jumpships, Warships, Pocket Warships and PT craft in addition?
So, If the Battle of Tukayyid occurred in 52 and the Refusal War Started in 57 at a minim could not the new SLDF include at a minimum of…
DC – 4 new RCTs and RACTs – Plus Warships etc.
FWL - 4 new RCTs and RACTs – Plus Warships etc.
FC - 8 new RCTs and RACTs – Plus Warships etc.
D of A / M of C – 1 possibly 2 new RCTs and RACTs
WOB – Unknown new RCTs and RACTs
Comstar – No new RCTs and RACTs since the Fall of Terra to WOB.
St. Ives – 1 new RCT and RACT
All outfitted with the latest Omni -mech / Omni-aerospace / Power Armour etc weapons systems.
Thus should these new forces be also included into the SLDF rosters when engaging the Falcons and the Wolves during the final phase of the Refusal war.
As an opportunity to servery damage these two already damaged clans has presented itself, so why not take it?

Suggestion one. If using kamikaze runs, just use bombs that are armed. Missiles would be a waste if the fighters are going to crash into the ship without needing to fire them. More damage as no need for wasting weight on a guidance system.
Curious on why the Arc Royal Defense Cordon is established, as it was done in canon to pull the area out of Katherine's hands. Even with defending the borders, it would be easier to have Morgan Kell run the defenses for the entire border, or have his units integrated with them.
You may need to increase the grand melee from 250 square KM to something larger. If the 13 clans left all engage in it, the 25 km minimum could not really be done. I am thinking they enter the field, not start out somewheres on it to begin with. Even if beginning on it is the way, it still sounds like it is too small.
As this changes the destruction of Smoke Jaguar, what, if anything, happens to them besides the Saber Cat being hunted?
Are they targeted for attacks? Or is this just focused on the Wolves/Falcons? Also, what do the Ghost Bears do?

Kamikaze units are armed with nuclear warheads big enough to destroy any Can Warship.
This is why the majority of their warship fleet was destroyed and the remainder has been exiled to the Periphery.
Thus the rules of war and the conduct of captured world’s populations and their defenders has been clearly explained to the Clans …. Also the penalties if they contravene the Inner Sphere Law.
Duke Morgan Kell is perhaps one of the finest military minds in the Inner Sphere, giving him command of the FC first response elements to any Clan adventurism beyond the current established border is a no brainer. In addition I also gave him command of all commando forces for behind the line activities.
This is also why I also gave Morgan Hasek-Davion Command of my Fenrir forces.
These two individuals working in close contact with each other …. They will set the immediate Clan Space on fire … and keep it ablaze.
As with the grand melee – what if some start of from the middle of the field as well? – as you need to keep the area small enough so that the overall battle time does not drag on too long – that said if house units want to increase its size you can always double it 500 square kilometres, as this was only ever intended to be a guide, each gaming group can come up with their own size / rules.
Such as roll 2D6 and those that have the same number fight it out on a 6 or 9 map-sheet area. With the Game-master to determine the sides each group enters into the area. Or you could come up with your own rules to determine who fights whom and when.
Yes, this will change the history for Smoke Jaguar.
As for the Sabre Cat – this warship becomes a pile of evaporated metal floating around a planet – a monument to Smoke Jaguar Hubris and Draconis Combine Vengeance.
As this stage the SLDF is engaged against the Falcons / Wolves only .
As per Canon when the SLDF was engaged only against the Smoke Jaguars – the Ghost Bears will do nothing as it is not their fight.

With The Introduction of two new Clan’s military forces within the Deep Periphery it is unknown if these forces will be able to complete a trial of absorption of either the Falcons and/or the Wolves.
If these new Clan forces succeed they will enact a campaign to re-establish their invasion corridor against the invading Inner Sphere forces.
If unsuccessful due to their continued losses it is doubtful the returning Falcons and Wolves will be able to regain their all the worlds within their invasion corridor, though a small part may be able to be retained.
Though what of the two Clans newly arrived from the Clan Home Worlds, will they just pack up and return home or will they establish a beach head within the deep periphery and then what will be their next move? Wait and see or invade the Inner Sphere with a new Invasion Corridor.
And what of the the two Clans that defect to the Inner Sphere (Nova Cats and host Bears) when would be a good time to declare their independence from the Home Worlds – with the introduction of a new Home Clan forces intent upon invading the Inner Sphere this may be the time for them to become part of the SLDF.
That Just Leaves the Jaguars- will the DCMS’s new forces begin a campaign against them – starting with a mass insurrection by the people – and will the Nova Cats assist the DCMS?
Either way you take it this could add a new dimension to your game night.
