Is there any info on official Battletech software? I love Heavy Metal Pro but it is *really* dated and needs to be updated or replaced. I have concluded, IMHO, that any new Heavy Metal Pro (HMP) version under development will never be officially released. I doubt HMP will be released unofficially either and non-disclosure may cloud the reason for its demise.

MegaMek's supporting "MegaMekLab" is fairly up to date and free, though it doesn't produced printable record sheets. You also need to be careful because it isn't fully user-proofed and can produce illegal designs (which, amusingly, are then rejected by MegaMek) if you don't tell the software to validate the design before saving.
