Old player coming back

So just before I last quit. Mad Man's Marauders was sold to some guy and dropped from the number one position on the ladder. That's a while back. I was Khan_EF around here but apparently that account has been deleted
I'm thinking of playing again but I want to know what changes have happened since then. Just browsing, I've already figured that infantry units have been disabled or something. What else has changed? Have drop ships been implemented? Does Nev now have a quest system? If you're too lazy to type out all the changes, links will do just fine. Thanks to anyone in advance.

You've been gone longer than I've been playing (I started 5 years ago, stopped 6 months back).
Too much has changed.

Hey I remember you Khan_EF. I didn't realize they deleted old accounts on here, that's too bad.
There is a fair amount of in game history from the time you left until around 2007 at:
www.mechgaming.com/hocarchive
The pdf download is free.
That said, personally I would move along. Neveron is a dead game with no future. Just remember the good old days, about the best you can do.

Welcome back, looks like you have been away for a mighty long time ...
You might want to talk with Nic Jansma (our main forums admin here at sarna) about your old account. He should know what happened, maybe your old account is still there, by the way, do any old posts of yours still show in the forums database ...?

A lot of changes happened since you left, definetely way too many to list them all here. I would like to suggest you take a closer look at the admin updates page:
http://www2.neveron.com/to_do.asp
though working through all these changes might take a while ...
You could give "Noob Island" a try, another new feature, but you better be careful because it's much more like "Noob Cannibal Island" (NCI, TM), a place where some ruthless veterans in disguise try to prey on some clueless noobs for some quick instant action / noob hunting for 'sports' (cough, cough) and such, for short it's pretty much just like any other spawning point for new players in a MMORPG related world set-up, only the strongest - and most stubborn - noobs will survive ...

Just browsing, I've already figured that infantry units have been disabled or something.
AFAIK and IIRC infantry units have been (temporarily?) disabled by admin due to excessive abuse (via Auto Battle Resolution (ABR) features?) by some players ...

What else has changed?
A lot, please simply browse through the admin updates:
http://www2.neveron.com/to_do.asp
Quote:
Have drop ships been implemented?
No, but we have got small Landing Crafts (LCs) - and light vehicle drop pods (kind of a replacement for infantry hot drops which had to be disabled by admin due to excessive abuse by some guys) for hotdropping a single light vehicle unit with a max weight of up to 20 tons, please simply check the updates for more details ...

Does Nev now have a quest system?
Yes, well, kind of, unfortunately the new so called Auto Quest system (an unfinished feature) currently supports only one Auto Quest at all so far ...
Have a nice day / night - and good luck, especially while on "Noob Cannibal Island" ...
