The Odin is supposed to be the Snow Ravens attempt at a true Super Carrier class ship, but to add a little bit of a pre WWII feel to the ship I included Capital ships weapons array as was found to be on the Lexington and Saratoga of the early 30's of the 20th century, this was in the form of 8 8in naval cannons mounted in four double turrets, this gave the 2 carriers the firepower equal to heavy cruisers of the day.
Anyhow back to the subject at hand, the Odin is meant to be the flagship/main ship of a new Naval Star for the Snow Ravens, which is part of my 12 year campaign here in California.
Feed back is welcomed, but not reactor feedback ;D

AeroTech 2 Vessel Technical Readout VALIDATED
Class/Model/Name: Odin Class Carrier Tech: Clan / 3066 Vessel Type: WarShip Rules: Level 3, Standard design Rules Set: AeroTech2
Mass: 2,400,000 tons K-F Drive System: (Unknown) Length: 1,700 meters Sail Diameter: 1,560 meters Power Plant: Standard Safe Thrust: 3 Maximum Thrust: 5 Armor Type: Lamellor Ferro-carbide Armament: 16 Heavy NPPC 32 Medium NPPC 16 NAC/30 64 ER PPC 64 Large Pulse Laser 64 Gauss Rifle 64 ATM 12 64 Micro Pulse Laser 64 AMS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== The Odin Class Carrier is based on the hull of a Leviathan class, but instead of building a heavy transport or battleship Clan Snow Raven decided to construct a ship more to their ideal of Naval warfare, A Carrier, the Odin class is the largest carrier class warship ever to be constructed by the Ravens at their Lum shipyards, weighing in at 2.4 million tons the Odin is only matched by the Leviathan and Leviathan II class of ships, The Odin Carry's a main Capital Weapons array comparable to most Battlecruisers, but these weapons are only meant for use when the primary weapons of the Odin have been destroyed, its 600 on board fighter's. the 600 fighters of the Odin are broken up into 3 groups of 200 in their respective bays, also the Odin was designed to be able to support extended fighter operations, 90,000 tons of cargo space has been designated as fuel tanker-age for the fighters, along with a additional 90,000 tons allocated for fighter supplies, thus gaurrting the Odin to be in the fight for the long haul, also in addition to the fighter's the Odin also possess's the ability to transport 12 dropships, potentially increasing the Odins ability for fighter ops if said dropships are CV class, but the most likely mix of dropships attached would be 5 Assault, 5 CV, 2 Supply.
In addition the Odin carrys a compliment of 150 points of Battlearmor to assist in either boarding actions or even planet side assault missions, for the protection of the ships and ships security the Odin Carry's a separate attachment of 100 Battle Armor Marines, it is felt with such a combination of forces that the Odin is well protected from external boarding parties.
The protection of the Odin while not on par withe the Leviathan II class is more than adequate for the ships assigned mission role, mounting nearly 6,000 tons of LFC armor, the Odin is the second most heavily armored ship class of the Clan Navies.
Escort ships for the Odin are expected to be ships of the Conqueror Class Battlecruiser/Carrier, 2 are expected to be assigned for the job., this would mean that the Odin Battlegroup would be able to field in excess of 800 fighters during a battle, more than capable of devastating any current battlegroups in clan or the inner sphere.
==Capabilities:== The Odins shipboard weapons are numerous and designed with mostly defeating fighter, dropship and missiles in mind, but the ship does mount a fair bit of main weapons, that will be able to allow the Odin to defend it self in the eventuality of the ships fighter, dropships and escorts being destroyed.

Let's see, where to start...
It;s got massive firepower. It's got enough fighters to scare any other ship to leaving known space. It's relatively fast for it's size.
WOW! I think that sums it up.

True...but even then most of their warships aren't all that better then the House ships, this one IS better then anything in it's class.

Canon vessels are normally not tweaked out or use the best of the best. So anything anyone builds is normally a tad on the better side when compared to the house vessels, or mechs or what not.

He comes and goes, posts when he can and if he has something new...he hangs here, as well as Rick's HMPro site.
