New Banner Advertisement Competition

In light of some of the high quality ads that players have come up with we are having another competition for ads that we can use publicly. Requirements are as follows:
-Dimensions must be 468x60 pixels or 125x600 pixels
-Size must not exceed 40k
-All images MUST be original artwork that YOU have produced OR must be accompanied by signed permission of the artist. Screenshots from Neveron are fair game.
-Flash ok but we need some that are not flash
If you already have an ad from the Sarna contest please simply resize, redimension it and resubmit it! Ads that we like will be used in an ongoing Neveron ad campaign and their creators will be awarded DP for every month that they are in use!

Hmmm...... The 2nd One is decent, but I think you should use the term Factions instead of Clans. They will attract new players for sure. It works.
For the first, I feel that it's not adequate to attract newbies (no offence). Sure, you had a "Start" Button, and the link within the banner, and you had just a bit of combat, but nothing said on empire-building. But i think adding "Empire Building Game based on Battletech" somewhere within the banner will do the trick. The humor is there, which is retained during the Sarna Contest, which is good.
Anyway, it's likely i won't particpate due to lack of time to make a banner. Maybe i will get started if i can ever come up with an original idea. 
P.S. Oh, and your first banner's 468x63, not 468x30. Resize it. :P

There has yet to be a response as to the submissions, so either admin forgot about it, they are awaiting further submissions or they were not happy with the banners submitted ?

I still have yet to get anything submitted which is absurd. All you guys need to do is resize your banners and send them in. If yours is used you will get lots of DP. DeeeeeeeePeeeeeeeeee

I needed a 125x125 designed too (for the yesnexus.com banner exchange), but this competion did not call for one and there was not one thus far in the promo areaand so i designed one - it is attached to this message -and- emailed to WS 
It's been 15 weeks since this started, any news on the results as yet ?

Yes, you are right, the new banners are up and they look great.
However, the call was for 468x60s and 120x600s and no 468x60s are in the area as yet.
The other problem is that there has been no acknowledgement by WS (or anyone else) of any banners publicly submitted within this forum (3 of which are mine). I am assuming they don't feel my banners are good enough, that is fine, at least acknowledge reciept of them and tell me they are the bad eggs in the dozen or something.

Actually I created a full set for each of the 3 different Banner styles you see on the site. I believe they are simply waiting to see if anyone is going to use them to advertise their promo and how much traffic it brings before they look at anymore. But I am sure if someone created something they really liked they would talk to them. I personally submitted everything by email.

I submitted mine by email too, as stated earlier, the request was for 468x60s and that size does not exist in the promo areas. At least one banner in this competition was created i that size and yet it has not been utilized in the promo, this is obviously because the admins feel the 'other' banners submitted do not fall into thier likings, thats fine.. all i am saying is acknowledge reciept of them, i designed 3 different banners for this competion near 6 months back and aint heard a solitary word from admins.
This ignorance will stop me in participating in any further competitions and or promotions, in had also cancelled a 1 mil impressions ad block running the promo code banners and URLs for new players, the first 200,000 impressions never yielded me a single sign-up using a combination of thier banners and those created by myself. The CTRs whilst not great were o.k (around 0.5%).. but not one person it seems joined the game after clicking-through using the urls with the bonus code included ???? Do the math and you will surely be as confused as I and likely understand my dissapointment in this whole competition and the new player sign-up promotion.
Now to beat the crappers out of someone in the arenas

Dark Rune I really appreciate that you put some banners in, but we don't have time to get half of the stuff that we need to get done done, much less write emails back to everyone who sent us something. Additionally, if you had your own banners you wanted to run as is stated on the Promo page we'd be happy to host them for you. The banners that were posted on the Promo page were the ones that we liked the best nad so far have worked well for us in our limited ad campaigns.
