Overview: The Warhammer WHM-9C is a custom varient created by Major Auren Shiro, of Shiro's Wyverns. About 90% of the battalion are jump capable. This was created when Auren first bumped into a Warhammer and said, "That's bad ass! It needs jump jets." He proceeded to purchase one. This was the end result of roughly a month's worth of tinkering.
Perhaps the most important concept is the fact that the PPCs were removed from the mech. While many Warhammer Fanatics were pissed, there is a reason for that. Large Lasers are cheaper, use less heat, and are smaller. Side carring those are a pair of medium lasers, an SRM-6 Rack, and for additonal close in power, a pair of small lasers are availble, while one is rear-mounted. Unlike other warhammers, it has lower arm and hand actuators, making it far more dangerous in hand to hand combat against other mechs, and it also has four jump jets, giving it a jump capacity of 120 meters. However, the mech suffers some heat issues if the pilot fires all of their weapons at short ranges, as all weapons can hit the short range bracket, and except for the small laser, can hit the medium range bracket. It also carries two more tons of armor, making it tougher then the other Warhammer series of mechs.
Capabilites: As a tougher, and mostly ammo independent Mech, it can be a capable urban fighter as well as an open field fighter. Its jump jets help in urban environments, along with the shorter range weapons. Its SRM-6 rack is for urban environments, as Shiro's Wyverns load them with a more fragmentary missile, allowing it to hit infantry for more damage. (No effect on game play).
Battle History: The Warhammer WHM-9C has been seen in several fights, and has killed a number of smaller mechs, and one WHM-9C pilot has gone toe to toe with a Whirlwind, and came out on top. Granted a lucky SRM penetrated the center torso armor and completely annhiliated the engine, it's still a Whirlwind kill. Auren pilots one of these machines, after upgrading from a Blood Hawk LAM. He is an artist with the Large Lasers, and has uncanny accuracy with just about all of the weapons. He has claimed an Atlas kill with an WHM-9C, although the mech didn't really make it through the mech, forcing him to punch out after the engine went critical and blew the SRM ammo.

Very nice, though you may want to check the Upgrades/Update files for the mechs that FanPro/FASA put out a few years back...

For Johnson's benefit, I want to bump this up so we can have it out with the Jumping Spider versus a not really different Whammy variant...

I thought this was going up against my Thorkelsson, not Big Ugly
Big Ugly would eat this thing for lunch
