How do I get more pop?

I've built sumptious living quarters. How do I grow my population?
Also, if my empire is landlocked by a larger empire, what opportunities for ass-kicking do I have?

first of all to get more pop all yopu need to do is build residential building. "if you build it, they will come"
If your empire is landlocked than just keep building till you hit level one then put 1 point into merc class so you can purchase a faraway zone for 10mill instead of teh normall 25 mill. Or you can just wait a week without logging in so that your empire delets adn juts make another one and hope you get started somewhere with land. Also keep in mind you can have upto 5 empires so create them incase you mess up on 1 or it gets destroyed by another player.

If ure empire is lvl 0 or 1 u really shouldent go pickin on the guy next to, if hes big enought say lvl 8 and up send him a DR and ask him for some land around ure area.

My sumptious living quarters are being ignored. Two of my zones have slow pop growth 12 residential units with 25 CF/Ht4 and currently at 192 and 196 population in each. My 3rd zone has 0 population despite 4 25cf/Ht4 buildings.
What can I do to speed this process along? Building more residential quarters.

You build faster by putting more money into the project, however once started you have to wait for them to complete.
Also remember to create jobs for the people .. commercials are best for money obviously.
