Overview:
Cheap and fast this medium battlemech has been in steady
production via JMY's joint facilites on Luthien; utalizing the
popular cougar/puma frame on a cheaper and easier to manufacture
design. the etnire mech is made from off the shelf or salvaged
machines, while the overall total production is small on a yearly
basis, the machines are a cost light choice for mercinary units in
need of replacements. Weapons performance is standard for each type.
SRM wise inferos were chosen to give the small mech up close thermal
impact as the primary weapons are quad medium lasers with machine
guns as secondary. The mech has limited jumping capacity and while a
rather light ammunition count for its design, howver with a tag of 4
million c$bills and decent medium and close range armaments the mech
fits the bill for cheap and decently durable.

medium range combat.

Deployment:
Numerous units within the DC.

Battle History:
first seen deployment in 3059, 85-100 units have been produced
yearly since that date.

85-100 mechs is actually alot between 2800 and 3050. After that the 'just add water' era it may not be alot. I'm not sure due to my deliberate ignorance of the much later stuff.

Probably a bit undergunned for its size despite the fact it is aiming to be a level 1 only unit. Also the one slot of ammo per ammo weapon reminds me (actually creates nightmares) of the Dervish which was certainly prone to failing at fulling its own weight and dieing horribly and often.

Perhaps drop the MGs for a LRM5 and the second SRM2 to give that launcher some ammo and upgrade the other SRM2 to a SRM4 so in close range you don't really lose much but at least you can do token damage out longer. It still isn't a perfect design but it doesn't make me cringe as much either.

Inferno is also a pilot choice (generally only insane pilots use it due to the unstable nature of the ammo).

85-100 is low for it, its intented to be a fill the holes unit; the low ammo/flaws whatver you want to call it are intentional. its a mech to use if you need a cheap unit for thin ranks nothing more, bit of jumping a decent speed and weapons that work in large numbers of said cheap units.
