Ive asked this before I think, though in a different manner. Did some digging on google and such to track down names of chassis for TDB, now.. selecting that chassis means thats the battlemechs general look or just what it should be based from; since for a long time the chassis were just names that didn't mean much to me. like star leage XT is a Anniliator battlemech, is that the only design to have it, etc. Another one is fusion engines, i can remeber Omni Pitban and Vox, butwho makes the other ones; and if a engine block that doesnt belong to a particular faction is put in a mech, would it effect anything fluff or minute details/rules wise or are all fusion engines generally considered the same for power, durability, etc

Objective Raids sourcebook had a lot of that info, but it's now out of print.

IF I recall correctly there was a webpage that had all the manufatories and their wears listed, I need to check my bookmarks to see if I have it or not.

Nic has done some work on getting weapons systems associated with manufacturers associated with planets on the wiki. Still a lot of work to do, though.
