==Overview:==
Needing to meet a deadline for a new assault tank for the Combine, and not having anything better to submit, the lead engineer at Ferrous Metals Combine, sat down started looking through files of older combat machines, coming across the old but still in use Goliath mech, an idea came to him...
The mech looked like a tank with legs, so why not remove the legs...
With this brush of insperation he and his staff rushed to begin drawing up plans to get this sumbitted in time.
The was born the Goliath tank.
==Capabilities:==
The turret mounted PPC and twin LRM 10 racks are impressive and give the Goliath a decent amount of fire power, that can kill most light mechs and vehicles.
It's armor is enough to keep the Goliath in the fight and offers the crew some hope of comming home in one piece.
The use of the KDM communication system allows the tank to have state of the art commo at off the shelf prices. The DLK Type Phased Array Sensor System allows the tank to get a faster fix on it's target thus insuring first round hit all the time.
==Battle History:==
All 5 of the prototypes have seen limited combat during the recent attacks on Proserpina.
==Deployment==
Not yet in full scale production, several of the test prototypes are stationed on Proserpina to protect the Ferrous Metals Combine plant and some of it's mining complexes from attack.

Hey, good design. Kinda reminds me of the Myrmidon, but redesigned for long range. I'm definitely going to have to try this one when my group plays next time.
