Close, but not quite 
Looks ike its purpose is sustained light long-range support, but I'd want a little more punch. And I'm not big on being THAT light at close range. Hmmm...now I'm gonna have to whip up a response to this 
BTW, cute design. As I've said before, I appreciate "concept" 'Mechs...they have more character

Oh I didn't really think it would totally pass the JMInc. inspection when I posted it. It was just to symmetrical, and as the Popper demonstrates, not diverse enough it weapon systems. I just can't help but think of you when I tinker with AC/2's.
The Popper definately has more firepower. But it has a ton less armor, which plays to the Rifleer's purpose of plinking away at the thin armor of light mechs. Well, OK the Popper still wins, but as you say the Rifleer is "concept" mech.
The 'Mech I based it off has 2 Large Lasers and 4 heatsinks. It just dawned on me one day as I was walking down the staircase that with the weight dedicated to those lasers I could probably fit 2 AC/2's just for the fun of it.
