Overview: Just when design reviewers, test pilots, investors, and 'Mechwarriors thought they could rest easy, their worst nightmare returns, as always, to haunt their sleep. That's right, Johnson 'Mechworks, Inc. is back with a new set of schematics. Among the new mind-bending brood is...this. JMInc.'s new release, the 85-ton beast tagged CRR-4U Carruthers, stands conventional design concepts on their heads with a mind-boggling array of weaponry. Seeming to specialize (somehow) in both long- and short-range combat, the performance numbers on this monster are staggering.
Capabilities: As incredible as it may sound, the always impressive Fusigon PPC mounted in the Carruthers' Right Torso is a secondary long-range weapon, being outdone by the awesome mass of LRM tubes which form the core of the long-range punch. In close, a mass of lasers takes over, providing enough punch to incapacitate many light 'Mechs with a single volley. Good armour coverage and moderate speed for its size finish off the package, making the Carruthers perhaps one of the deadliest 'Mechs ever to walk the battlefields of the Inner Sphere.
Known Variants: JMInc. designers have produced schematics for two alternate configurations...the first is a low-tech variant which drops the PPC and downgrades Large Pulse Laser to a standard model. Additional tonnage is allocated to armour to provide comparable coverage without the advanced ferro-fibrous. The second variant trades the Pulse Laser for an Extended Range model and drops the torso-mounted Medium Lasers in order to protect the ammo with CASE and add Artemis IV Fore-Control to the LRM racks for maximum Long-range effectiveness.

My Blurb: Not much to add...big, slow, nasty at range, nasty in close. Could use a bit more ammo for the LRMs, but that depends on the situation. Lemme know what y'all think...

I know TDB gives you the option to select weapon manufacturers from a list. Any book with construction rules should list engine manufacturers on the engine table. Don't know which Houses prefer which suppliers tho...

Another fun one...actually I think this one would see some use in the Chaos March or by the CapCon...
