Well this one is odd.. I was looking at my desktop.. a MW4mecs Fafnir pic and was just staring into space and it was like hmm.. ELRMs are like the IS version of ATMS.. Have i Ever used any of them? Nope.. after about a hour of looking, so I sat down and fiddled with the program for like 3 hours.. built 4 versions of this design, disliked them all as either too hot running, to slow or just badly armed for the concept i had going; again a 'what if' sort of mech since its packing conpact heat sinks XL engine and gryo, just a configuration that came to me while i was shuffling the equipment down, went from a fafnirish mech to a Pillager. Enjoy? What it lacks in the pillagers hard hitting OMGness, it has in speed and sensor gear.

Overview: What happens when you take a popular assault mech design and upgrade it, using some of the newest and best technologies to be had on the field of war? Something like this. Building off their massive and popular Pillager mech, HildCo has again fielded another hefty unit, the design of this mech follows that of the pillager, having humanoid, angular designs and shapes instead of hard angles. Unlike its predecessor however this mech mounts multiple new technologies as follows. The sturdy Vlar XL serves once again, however this time the mech is outfitted with a extensive aray of compact heat sinks. The Gauss rifles, replaced by a matched set of arm mounted lights. Laser hardware has been swapped out as well, trading the mediums and large in for a quad set of Pulse Medium classes to give it close range capability. Mounting atop a thick turret is a ELRM10 rack brooding over this hunched mechs shoulder like a bird of prey. Internally the mech’s gyro system has also be lightened and a Supercharger mounts along side the main engine to give it a pinch of speed to make up for the lack of jump jets in this unit. The cockpit has also been made slender, a basic serviceable ‘pit taking its place. Unlike the pillager, this unit mounts both a TAG and ECM module. While the mechs cost is rather higher then that of the Pillager, and its weaponry slightly less effective, it is a viable test bed for future combat and may prove to be a useful component in units lacking in assault class hardware. Initial tests have proven very well, several variants were fielded but only this one saw final production, the others converted into replacement parts. Though only two units exist, and have yet to see live fire combat, the mech is being talked about in technological circles, both for the unique equipment it carries and the hulking, imposing configuration, one person has been noted as saying it’s the bigger, quieter version of the Pillager; packing the same nasty punch if your not looking. Some have stated that the units low ammo count for the twin Gauss and the ELRM may be a problem in the extended battle and tests have shown the Pulse arrays to experience focus drift after heavy use; these problems are to be worked out in later, full production versions, though it is likely the mass produced versions will not mount the Compact class heat sink or the Light Gyro and may play a part in reducing the mechs weapon effectiveness. Should even the units be seen as a failure, the possibility offered by the deadly, modern design may prove invaluable in battle data for future designs. The name itself is a accident and likely to be changed as it was named when someone asked what the still skeletal framework looked like; a dockworker said it was Fuggin ugly, lord. This was mutated into the Fug-Lore; should the unit see production however this semi joking name is likely to be dropped.
