As Lt. Hunk advanced over the ridge in his BUDGET Urban Mech he scanned the field of battle... Him and his lance were on the opposite side of a small gorge nothing to treacherous.... "Alight Foxtrot three and two move up and scout ahead..." as he trailed off keeping a keen eye for enemy movement. "This is foxtrot 2 weve got contact." In complete fear just as a newbie would xD "Alright stay calm.... fallback to my position how many contacts...... "Ummmm just a lance sir 1 JEP-MG, 2 AIV-W1s and an SWT-81ER." In absolute panic.... "Soldier.... get a f****ing grip of yourself...." In his harshest tone, but really this was his first combat and he was damned scared too, but no he couldnt be scared.. Little did he know that his fear was just getting started......
"For my emperor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............ For glory..............." That was the last thing that was heard from foxtrot four as it selflessly drove infront of a disabled SWT-81ER and pounded the critted armour on the front mercillessly killing the crew with a hail of mg fire..... However with that last act of glory foxtrot four was pounded by mg and mg-II rounds from everywhere punching through the armour from all sides.... What faced the Lt was the stuff of nightmares he in his Urby was facing a company at half strength -2 if counting the disabled units.....
It all began to go horribly wrong when the enemy formed up into a lance on the periphery of his ac-10 range and appeared to be waiting.... Then rising over the crest of a farther away ridge were 2 lances of of SWT-81ER, mixed in with a few apcs and Jep-MG. Although he could potentially outgun his opponents he would be facing 4:1 odds somthing he had a great distaste for. His opponent as it were sent a communique asking for his surrender and withdrawal of his forces or he would be overwhelmed and destroyed.
"Well my worthy opponents, ill leave when you surrender and bring me some CRB beer!!!!!! Otherwise......" He cut the comm and switched to the friendly channel "Alright listen up form up one our side of the gorge with overlapping fields of fire... You spot the nearest ones and ill blow them to hell... Otherwise only comm me when you really think your about to be overrun otherwise hold your position..." With that he cut the comm...... He couldnt believe what kind of order he had just given.... he knew he would lose this fight..... the numbers alone said that..... Go****it these are good men..... but....but, not damned near close to being worth a mech.......
He then procceeded to disable his comm systems.... for when they died he didnt want to hear their screams of pain, their calls for mother, their cries for forgiveness and their calls for a medic.
Shot after shot hit home with his AC-10 alone he had destroyed 2 newbie jeeps, and had disabled a switchblade that was promptly destroyed by a supporting jeep. "Hotdamn, we might actually win this...." Then simaltaniously he saw the tags for Foxtrot two and three disappear. And instead two enemy tags appeared in their places both switchblades. "O u have got to be F****ing me." As he placed another shot on an APC..... "O why did i do that?...... shit" As he brought his AC-10 to bear against a damged switchblade...... "Screw you!!!!!!........." That shot blasted the switchblade to pieces....
Then he witnessed Foxtrot four charge straight at a disabled switchblade and promptly put it down.... but sadly was raked by fire from all sides.
Then as the enemy closed in all around he made a bid for life with warning claxons screaming, alarms going off everywhere he finally made it to the border and in a last ditch effort to defy them and make a deep impression he turned around loosed his last bolt of AC-10 into a damaged AIV-T4 and crushed a nearby switchblade. As he slowly brought his mech hobbling into his territory he was relieved and just a little frightened of what its like to be outnumbered and began his burning desire to live no matter what..... As he wrote his report to be submitted to his strategists he noted 3 losses for a total of 75% for 50% agghhhhhhhh he could here his advisors commenting on how frivously he wasted his forces..... hmphhhh well theyre peons what can you expect........ O well at least i have a CF to plot and plan my vengeance....
PS:Started a newbie empire and wanted to try to do what kit_fox did awhile ago, but on a lower scale... Update next week..... If i live that long xD

chances for survival are increased considerably when you have a real mech, not a beercan, heh. But as you very likely know that yourself, I expect to hear stories involving better mechs soon here :-)

Woot my beercan owns XD lol. well saving up for a better mech already at 35 mil.... maybe a centurion, mongoose or possibly a panther for his promotion. o well the urby doesnt technically count as a mech

Background: Zones terrain was like that of the himalayas, but with trees and lots of rough mobility down to a minimum.... I had just just won a battle to retake a city that was a choke point on a penninsula and the enemy retreated onto it.... by the time they realized their mistake i had already engaged them to keep their forces occupied while i launched a retaliatory attack against their home core and brought more reinforcements to the battle if neccessary.
"Incoming!!!!!!!!!......." as Lt. HUNK screamed into his comm systems as 2 of his scorps were blown clean out by 2 rounds of AC-20. "Fire team 1-1, fire for effect on co-ordinates 51, 56.. Ill take the other at 52, 57.... Do it now!!!!!" "Roger....." as the clearly audible sound of safteys being taken off and shells being loaded could be heard over the still open channel. "SHOT, over, reloading...." Lt. Hunk saw that all three rounds hit dead center and blew the vehicle to hell, but he couldnt really pay attention he was drawing a bead on the second.... "Sorry buddy...." Even though it was at long range his expierence in the last war put his skill at elite lvl (-1/0 from 2/3 skilled down 4 times for piloting in 1 major battle and 4 smaller skirmishes and 3 times for gunnery which is weird? didnt score any big kills?) and blew clean through the vehicles like tissue paper.... "Huh, mustve been on internals?..." Then just as he was about to comm in for a sit rep on where that mech was, 2 plinks hit him on the left arm. "Ohhhhhhhh so thats where u r......"
"Shit shit shit......" as he jump jetted over the top of another ridge.... the battle had been going for 5 hours rl time and even tho he had reduced his enemy forces by another third, himself and his remaining force were tired, tattered and out of ammo. "Ahhhhhh im so going to get myself a Centurion or how about a mercury ya somthing with speed and how about while im at it an Imp and 3 behmoths...ya.... ****" just he rounded the corner the last remaining vanguard stared him down being well within range... it was a stare down for what felt like ages we started the other down then, what sounded like the thunder of an autocannon echoed through the canyon....... and blew off the Urbie's left arm completly and from the force alone made Hunk do a complete 360 and almost made him fall over.... regaining his composure he charged the tank and just as a second round of AC/20 was being loaded he had just brought his foot up and brought it crashing down on right through the tanks damaged turret....... "Holy... mut***.... f*****...." as he gasped and wheezed from knowing that he had survived not one but 2 AC/20 rounds technically.... "Al....l uni....t......s.. re.....port..nw.....o" "All clear, sir ummmm we still dont know where the last remaining vanguard is..... have you encountered it.....?" "Yes i have..... and its been taken down......" "Ummmm is it all clear sir?" "Ya i think it is....... i think it is........."
"Sir.... sir, hello snap out of it......" "errrrrrrr, um yes what is it.....?" "You were just about to finalize the deal for this Centurion Cent-AH........
Wow i have a centurion on noob island...... got some pretty good salvage..... but had to lvl down to 3 lances in order to have room for the bv for the centurion, god the urbie is so hard to pilot almost no tactical feature like good jj or topspeed and even tho the centurion still has ammo problems at least i have decent secondary ammo now..... the urbie well he's in my dueling stable now with a 4/4 pilot will someone plz give him a good home in the back alley of an arena in the trash bin XD... gonna try to war again next week.
