------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
Originally known as the Fistfighter it was a medium mech based on the Jenner's
weapon loadout, mouting 6 medium lasers and a small laser. Unfortunately the
generated heat proved too much for this design, mounting conventional heat
sinks. All six prototypes were retained at the original factory for testing
new components and technology. One Fistfighter became the first Kuritan mech
to be outfitted with the new triple strength myomer. It caused major stress
fractures in the internal structure, forcing the replacement with the
stronger, but bulkier Endo Steel system.

By 3054, a new version appeared that mounted The Draconis Combine's latest
weapon system, the MRM launcher.

==Capabilities:==
The Kama carries impressive firepower for a mech its size. The huge MRM 40 is
more often seen on Heavy and Assault mechs. The MRM40 is capable of
overwhelming light, while it can inflict heavy damage on heavier machines.

Able to engage enemy mechs at medium ranges, it is very suitable for
operations in broken terrain such as forests or hills, where it can retreat
behind cover. Lacking suitable secondary weapons the Kama is not suited for
urban combat and is vulnerable to infantry attacks.

The Kama is designed to operate alongside close range assault mechs such as
the Hunchback and Javelin.

==Battle History:==
Although some were sceptical of the Kama's abilities. But the design proved
itself quite capable in the Chaos March and during Operation Bulldog.

During one encounter a pair of Kama backed up by a Grand Dragon and a Wolftrap
encountered a pair of Cauldron Born. Though one Kama and the Wolftrap were
badly damaged and were forced to withdraw, the remaining Kama fired several
shots at one of the Cauldron Born, hitting the cockpit several times, badly
injuring the pilot. It was then able to pounce the other Caultron Born,
causing a fatal ammo hit.

Another encounter in the Chaos March between a Kama and a Crusader. Both
mechs fought each other in a dense swamp. The Crusader soon became stuck,
having emptied his LRM racks taking potshots at the Kama, it moved in for the
kill and attacked it in the back. Unable to turn to protect its back, the
Crusader surrendered.

==Variants:==
Though it has proven able enough, some feel the Kama is too one-sided. A
proposed variant switches to an MRM30 and adds another medium laser.

While I am not a big fan of the MRMs, this mech seems set up to use them correctly.

So what happen to the other prototypes?

The prototypes are still at the factory, most have been built and rebuilt over the years for a wide range of tests.

Hmmm, I have to say I like it. Much like Karagin, MRM's aren't my thing, but this mech really uses them exactly as they're supposed to be. Good job.

*nods* hai, is good design; perhaps not frontline DCMS , but certainly a well made build; basic, functional and impressive. Any design that survied TFS is a worthy mech to look into.
Greetings Mechwarrior.
