------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== Built by GM-Nissan Conglomerate of NorAm, the Doberman IFV has become a standard partol vehicle on many worlds since it has both impressive firepower and protection.
The best coverage of this vehicle in action was during the Food Riots of 3084 on Trigu Three. The riots started in the second largest spaceport on the planet, Tom City, and soon engulfed the whole world. The local milita and police responded with everything that they had in their arsenals and that included two companys worth of Doberman IFVs. After two months of fighting the Trigu Milita had secured most of the major cities and with several merc units hired by the Del Amonta Food Group, who owned 60% of the planets' argi lands, had battered the rioters and the rebels into small groups that could be dealt with easier. The Doberman was very vicious in the close fighting in the city of Pesca. There the rebel group El Macheta tried to make a stand declaring that they were a new nation called the Social People's Worker Union of Trigu. This new nation lasted all of 96 hours. A troop of Doberman, back up by severl firesupport mechs and heavy tanks and foot soldiers, went into the city and started to clear it. Block by block the fighting went on, and no part of the city was left untouched. The SPWU forces tried to fight their way and in the process tried to show that the forces of imperialist leaders and such could be defeat, ended up dying in a blaze of white hot fire as infernos slammed into their headquaters.
After the battles, GM-Nissian studied the reports and maintance records of the Dobermans and soon started pushing the vehilce to other worlds and mega corperations.

Thats not bad, a 40 ton 3/5 vehicle is one of the most effeicent set-ups I've seen. I'd ditch the Light autocanns for a single UAC/2 and add more armor though. any vehicle without atleast 20 armor on the front and sides and turret tend not to last more then a couple of turns. Nice fluff, what with the whole setting communists on fire thing, used to be a really cool thing to do back in the day....

UAC was just to big for what I wanted.
Nice of you say what you did, I posted this one on several boards and it seems that out the 6 boards, 5 of them had folks actually willing to give this one a chance and one board well they felt that unless the vehicle can take many hits and dish out equal damage it's not a vehicle.
Thanks again.
And you are correct less armor means less life, but good or even decent tactics can work around that issue.
Fluff...yes I started it and went hey let's go all out on it...
