Overview: The Gemini project began as an attempt to create a speedy LAM with a heavy punch. Numerous attempts proved the chassis could not support the desired weapons load as well as the LAM conversion equipment. Designs utilizing both Ferro armor and Endosteel failed as well, the bulky armor making it nigh impossible to fit the mainweapon on the structure. Ground Zero then scrapped the intent to create a new LAM, and instead released the Gemini as a fast medium ground bound mech, stylized as a suberb light to medium mech hunter.
Capabilities: The Gemini is fast for its 45 ton size, and sports a good long range wallop in the shoulder mounted Gauss Rifle. The rifle is backed up with an arm mounted medium laser and flamer. While dropping the Ferro armor of the original design, it retains the bulky endosteel internal structure. When the project was revamped and the LAM conversion euipment removed, two of the original jumpjets were removed as well. It was deemed the remaining four would be adequate to help the Gemini escape any tight situations it could not run from. The geminie utilizes an XL engine, and thus CASE was installed around the mount for the Gauss Rifle in an attempt to protect the pilot and the rest of the mech.
Configuration / Variants: no variants are available at this time. Work is still in progress to convert the Gemini for LAM use.
Battle History: The Gemini has performed well in trials, and one has scored several wins against the Vampire stable in the Solaris VII arenas while being piloted for the Stonkin Mechs, Inc stable. The greatest detractor so far mentioned, is the lack of serious armor protection.
Deployment: So far the only recorded deployment of the Gemini is within Mark Stonkin's private dueling stable.

Well, with 10 standard heatsinks, and a total of 11 heat generated, not too bad
