------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== An older Clan design, the Tetsubo was first introduced in the mid 2800's, it is the perfect example of Clan warfare, short and brutal.
==Capabilities:== Taxing its industrial base, the Tetsubo wasn't a widespread design. First built by the Steel Vipers it was soon found with several other clans, most notably the Smoke Jaguars and the Ice Hellions.
Mounting cutting edge technology, the Tetsubo had few rivals. Only the Stone Rhino and War Elephant were worthy challengers.
Designed to be a fast and powerful-hitting design, the Tetsubo's tactics were fairly simple. Rush the enemy under heavy LRM fire and once close enough it would let loose with its Autocannons.
With only limited ammo, the Tetsubo could only hope to take down one or two opponents in most fights before having to reload. Once its ammo was expended it had little more than a pair of ER lasers to defend itself.
==Battle History:== The high cost and limitations of the Tetsubo became painfully clear once the Omnimech was introduced. Unable to adapt to changing conditions, production ceased in favour of newer, better designs.
A handful of Tetsubo remain in PGC's, once in a while showing they are still potentially deadly.
During a raid on Clan Raven territory, a Tetsubo found itself facing a Ghost Bear Kodiak. Both mechs traded long range fire for a while, the Tetsubo's LRM's proved superior and the Kodiak moved to close range. Some 40 seconds later the Kodiak's pilot ejected, having suffered two engine hits and several cockpit hits. The Tetsubo had taken a beating as well, losing both LRM's and one of its autocannons.
==Variants:== The Tetsubo's design proved to be very effective and few Clans seemed willing to tinker with a successful formula. The only variant, replaced one of the LBX autocannons with a Gauss Rifle for long range sniping.
==Deployment== Clans Snow Raven and Steel Vipers may have the largest contingents of Tetsubo's still in service with 3 mechs each. Clan Ice Hellion still has two in service, but is rumoured to have cached a few into their reserve.

I like it. Decent weapons mix.
