==Overview:==
When the highly advanced upgrade of the Vindicator was turned down by
Chancellor Liao, designers at Ceres Metals were seething. After a number of
attempts to redesign and re-label their proud creation, they finally decided
to apply the cutting edge technology they had mastered to a completely new
design, producing one of the first completely new LAM's for many centuries.

The new design did please the Chancellor, who ordered immediate production.

==Capabilities:==
Using the Capellan Confederation's only known Star League era Phoenix Hawk
LAM as a basis, designers produced their own model, combining the advanced LAM
fame with the new Capellan Stealth technology to produce a machine unmatched
even among the Clans.

The Ying Long, or Winged Dragon's main weapon or "breath" is an ER PPC. The
"claws" are a pair of ER Medium Lasers.

The advanced Stealth armour and the ability of the LAM to hover over terrain,
makes the Ying Long a fearsome foe, hard to hit, but able to hit hard in
return.

Even when running hot, the Ying Long's capacity is not diminished thanks to
its triple strength myomer.

The only real weakness of the Ying Long is its complexity. Production remains
slow and factory recalls are frequent. So far only 9 machines have been
built, with only 4 units believed to be fully operational.

==Battle History:==
The Ying Long has not yet been in combat, a trial lance has been assigned to
the Death Commandos, awaiting the perfect opportunity to unleash their
machines upon an unsuspecting opponent.

==Variants:==
The highly specialised nature of the Ying Long means that most design chances
tend to have a negative effect on its performance. The only improvement
currently held possible by the designers is to replace some of the systems
with Clan technology, freeing up space for extra equipment. House Liao's
limited access to such technology has prevented any such attempts so far.

==Deployment==
A single lance has been assigned to the Death Commandos for field trials in
the coming months.

Nice fluff use for the faction the mech is meant for. The weapon load out might be better with a ligth PPCs or heavy PPC.
