==Overview:==
Originally, the Sargatanas was borne out of a Mistake. Heretic BattleMechs
sought to create a 55 ton BattleMech suitable for controlling a Battlefield,
and dictating terms - very much a powerful Brawler.

However, design overruns and problems with engineering have lead the
Sargatanas to weigh a full 10 tons more than originally intended, putting it
into the field of Heavy BattleMechs, and outside of Heretic BattleMechs
production capability.

==Capabilities:==
The Sargatanas is a Brutal BattleMech. Each of its arms holds a pair of
Diverse Optics Type 20 Large Pulse Lasers. These twin weapons cut swathes
through Vehicle, Infantry and BattleMech alike, pouring highly accurate fire
into them.

Backing these sword-strokes up is a pair of Randell's "Hellbitch" Medium
Lasers - a tried and true workhorse of Laser Technology.

Finally, its long range system includes a Blue-Shot Weapons -10 Rack of Long
Range Missile. Added almost as an afterthough in an over-the-shoulder
launcher similar in style to a Daishi.

With a Respectable, yet not overly fast speed for its Size, the Sargatanas
achives this by utilising a 325 Rated Nissan Light Fusion Engine. It was
originally slated to carry an XL engine, but due to the ammunition on board,
even protected by CASE, designers believed it best if they managed to minimise
the Damage to the BattleMechs Engine in the case of Ammunition Explosion.

Otherwise, the Sargatanas is a compromise of a BattleMech... Too Slow to be a
Heavy Raider, Too Fragile to be a Straight Brawler, and Lacking Too much Long
Range Firepower to be a Fire Support 'Mech.

However, in its role of leading a Lance of Medium BattleMechs with
Complimentary Skills - such as the Exorcist and Heretic, the Sargatanas
provides a Mobile Command Platform for the Mid-Range Lance Commander.


==Design Philosophy (OOC)==

The Sargatanas evolved around my want for a 'Mech which would Bruise up the Enemy... Just walk foward, cutting things down - before turning and leaving smouldering wrecks in its wake. That to me screamed either Big-Autocannons, or Large Pulse Lasers, and we've already seen quite a few Big AC 'Mechs Recently...

Its a Blend, but in the end, not an effectual blend of Firepower and Speed - its Armour is Lacklustre, and though maximum armour could be achieved with an XL engine, I wanted to avoid the Ammo-Explosion-Instant Destruction...

What is going in its favour however is its very gentle heat curve - and even if the Ammo does detonate, even with the Heat from the Damaged Engine, its very Cool to use the other arms LPL and ML... Granted, not many 'Mechs are designed to be blown apart, but apparently this one likes to have that philosophy.

Not my Best 'Mech... I think I'll stick to Mediums for a While...

interesting setup though, sounds like something you could use as support, and those pulse lasers do give it scary hit ability at close and medium ranges.
