Mergers are arranged from the PRIMARY login of an empire. To start, log into the empire ["Alpha"], click Empire Tab/ Logins then in the 'Merge Empire' section, click the 'Merge Empire' button. This will open a new page, that will display that empires cost to be merged. This page will offer a search box, to find the empire that you want to merge your empire into. Enter the empire name you wish to merge with, and press search. All possible matches to your search value will then be listed. Click on the correct empire you want to merge with. A new screen will appear that explains more information about mergers. After reading this info, simply click the 'Merge Empire' button to proceed. Your Login page will now display the option to cancel the merger, should you change your mind.
At this point, the empire ["Bravo"] taking the old empire ["Alpha"] assets takes over. Once logged in, click Empire Tab/ Loginand in the 'Empire Merger:' section you will see a button labeld 'View Merger Request'. Once you click that button, a screen will display all empires that have requested a merger into your empire. There can be one or more empires that are requesting mergers into empire "Bravo". Next to each empire is a DP value. That is the cost to empire Bravo to merge empire Alpha. You can also click 'Remove' to drop any, or all, empires from the current merger. Once you have reviewed all empires in the merger request, you click "Submit Merger Request". At this point you can no longer cancel or change the merger. It has been submitted to Admin for review and processing.
At this point, an Admin will review the empires submitted for recent changes in empire levels. Players attempting to reduce the cost of a merger, by 'leveling down' an empire may have their empire merger rejected.
SECONDARY logins can NOT request a merger, and so the option will not appear on the login page.
The LOGIN of the empire submitting the merger request must have the total amount of DP required for the merger in order to submit it. Logins that do not have enough DP available when the merger tries to process, will simply cause the merger request to be rejected.
All 'war' related actions impact merger requests. Any DoW or Raid will cancel any pending merger requests for that empire. That merger can not be resubmitted until the war ends. Should empire "Bravo" end up at 'war', all empires that have pending merger requests sent to it, will also be cancelled.
Here are the current merger costs. Any cost reflected in game, is the most current cost of a merger, and should be considered the most current pricing:
- L 0 10 DP
- L 1 10 DP
- L 2 15 DP
- L 3 30 DP
- L 4 50 DP
- L 5 75 DP
- L 6 150 DP
- L 7 200 DP
- L 8 250 DP
- L 9 375 DP
- L10 500 DP
- L11 750 DP
- L12 750 DP
- L13 750 DP
Any merger that will result in an empire larger than L14 will be rejected
Merger Requests are usually processed several time each day. There is no need to submit a Help Ticket about a merger unless there is an actual problem with a merger, or you have a question about the merger process. Most questions have hopefully already been answered here!
Player Follow Up:
The current merger program currently has a few 'issues' that I will explain here.
Once your merger is processed, you will get 2 messages: First one states that your merger has been completed Second one states that your merger has failed, and to resubmit it
IGNORE THE SECOND MESSAGE! Your merger did not actually fail. Some final clean up steps are what actually failed. This will now require some action from the player to correct.
FIRST: Go back to the Empire Tab/ Logins/ Mergers and you will see a level "0" version of your now merged empires, requesting a merger, for the cost of 10 DP each. Simply click the 'Remove' button to end this merger request.
YOU CAN NOT ADD NEW SECONDARY LOGINS TO YOUR EMPIRES UNTIL ALL MERGERS ARE COMPLETED AND REMOVED IN THIS MANNER
SECOND: The SOI process is not currently part of the merger program. What this means is that your empire now owns 'new' units [from the merged empire] that are sitting in zones that are "SOI controlled" by the old empire. SOI also impacts garrison limits. What that means is that any zones with more than 4 units will trigger automatic mobilization fees as soon as that zone is 'clicked' on. You need to manually update your old empire zones, to reflect the new empire ownership, so that SOI and garrison amounts are updated and correct.
To do this, simply go to the map, and enter an area where the 'old' empire ["Alpha"] used to have units defending cities.
Start by clicking all adjacent UNDEFENDED zones around cities. By doing this you are building up the 'garrison' amounts first.
THEN click on the adjacent defended zones, and those built up garrison amounts from above, will be added to those defended zones, and false auto-mob of units should be avoided.
You do NOT need to do this in areas where there are no units. SOI will update the next time the zone is clicked on automatically. You can also skip this step if there are no more than 4 units in any zone, as the minimum garrison amount for any zone is 4 units.
Unit Caps:
One last tip about mergers...if you merge more than 10,000 units, your resulting empire will be over the allowed unit caps. This will result in DOUBLE OMT fees, as well as DOUBLE Maintenance fees! This gets very expensive very quickly!! Be sure that you prep your empire properly BEFORE you submit a merger. What you need to do is decomm or scrap the 'extra' fodder of each empire. Keep only the 'quality' units if your merger will result in more than 10,000 units total.
