Okay I was going through some old notes, the paper they were on had turned yellow, and I took the ideas, combined them with some other ideas and tossed in a golden oldie and here is what I came up with:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
As an artillery support unit, the Spartan is unsurpassed, many think of it as
a walking multiple launch missile system. Given this it has been also
considered one of less versatile of mechs in current use.

It has limited secondary weapons, and slow speed adds to the issues if the
enemy units break through the frontlines. Many of these mechs have been used
as anti-aircraft enplacements around highly important targets and locations.

Reminds me of a toned-down Catapult. Why the excessive armour on the legs though? If it is not going to see frontline action, armour like that should not be necessary, should it? You can easily drop half a ton (or even a full ton) of armour there and add a rear-mounted medium laser in the torso (or mounted the small to the rear and make the third medium front-mounted). Or even another HS somewhere.
