Light, fast, and with a typical load-out for a 25-tonner. Guess it could be labeled as 'plain'?

Let me try this out for a hint...the unit this is based off and gives it's name is something we have all seen that rolls into combat and flips in firing...

I am sure that is a dead give away.

They have a lot of lasers, the idea was to use it as a model, NOT make a direct and perfect copy. The use of the new weapons from the Tech Manual/Total Warfare was also there.

And the SW universe does mention the Trade Federation having some to carry small ion guns, but they didn't have the power out put to fully work right.

Memory serving, the Jawas use small ion carbines to capture R2-D2 and C-3PO in Ep IV, after the droids crash their pod on Tatooine. Maybe some leftover technology from the Trade Fed days? Although, come to think of it, the Trade Fed was never really mentioned on Tatooine.

The Jawas had the knack for finding things...and given how many battles there were during the Clone Wars, something would have ended up on Tatoonie either via the black market, an arms deal gone wrong, or simple traders trading things.

Tatooine is at the ass end of no-where - I bet even the Emperor did not know why they had troops there. Although... Vader might have had a hand in that, it being his home planet and all.

Dates don't mean squat and recently they, (TPTB), have been trying to make things fit to an era, but it's a case of too late for it to work.

Besides, the mech isn't really made for the BT universe as it's set in the books. But if you want switch the date to what ever you want.
