Skill ups are killing the game. It makes it all that much hard for good, decent players to mantain thier empires and just gives assholes more of an excuse to prey on the weak.
The level of 'customer service' is simply ridiculous. The replies to tickets by Seth in particular are pathetic.
Even the FFA has problems. Just yesterday I go into an arena and had a Cat-K2. With 4/6/0/0 movement. (Don't ask me, I know that is not right). I do know I couldn't move. I don't mind getting crappy units instead of something that would normally be nice like that, but I would much rather have a crappy unit that I can actually MOVE and PLAY with than the bug riddled junk we do get.
I could go on, but I think this is enough. Instead of opening a thread for people to bitch and moan, why not open MULTIPLE threads each addressing the MYRID of problems with Nev.

i'm sick of skill up crying. it's not going to go away. you want to talk about something ruining the game. how about the fact that about 85% of the active LW people in this game have only 1 purpose, to completely decimate your empire. they dont care at all about theh ardwork people have put into empires.
yes, it is a war game, things die, i know. but these fucktards spend their entire existance in nev doing their damndest to eradicate entire empires 100% from the game, and whats worse, is half of them have never built an empire, they spend their money, get an elite LW emp, and go crushing everyone they can find. this problem is not limited to one of the various "sides" on neveron, it's everywhere, nc, otk, sldf, hoc, dest, legion, hh, and a game, where you can literally spend thousands of dollars and endless hours of work, this doesnt help in any means to attract new players.

NOT A GOOD WAY TO RECRUIT NEW PLAYERS.
add on top of it the insane amount of nevcash it takes to rebuild a decent army and how long it takes to acumulate in the first place. So you have a game that is highly unattractive to new players, drives out old ones as they slowly lose empires, has egomaniacs running rampant and what do you get?

KJI wins points for being the most accurate in why neveron sucks at the moment.
If I could build empires and have fun I really wouldn't care about running around with 6/6 hornets and 7/3 urbanmechs. I could overlook my units skilling up if I didn't have half the people to deal with.
In fact, the last person I even bothered to use my Dee Dee Combine against, I raided and afterwards I explained things that were wrong with the defenses and gave my ideas and suggestions on how to improve it. I even used my login to The Red Legion to give them a TA to let them replace their tanks with whatever TRL put out. Does anyone else really even bother to do that now days? Especially when I ended up losing some mechs, with all pilots dying, and some of which were dp only (thanks to a rather crappy connection issue I was having that kept dropping me from the internet..).
The game environment is poison. No side is unaffected and few players are innocent. Long time players have degenerated so far that it's a real shame. At least there was a lot of people that left before they turned into complete asses.
Hell even I have been getting screwed up by neveron's community and it's drive to kill people who want nothing more than to just build a little bit of an empire and play around with some units. People with those attitudes get slaughtered by big bad raider empires who want everything dead to feed their units skill and rep. I haven't been the same stupid and relatively care-free rper that I was even a year ago, I've gotten worked up enough over certain things in this game to make me want to just smash everything that is connected to certain empires or certain people because of something said or done...mind you I never really act on it, but still how long will it be before I do?
But, I think KJI has summed it up quite well. In a word, fucktards. Yes indeed. My how I miss the days...

Wow KJI actually got something right :P but ya seems if your rich with cash you dont have any worries on this game. if you dont spend money on the game then pretty much dont play since you will get killed and lose everything. I mean like when Art of War (nothing personal fern) attacked me after finally getting to lvl 5 after over 3+ years playing there is no way my 2 gun stuff can even touch his -3-4 gun mechs that are upgraded like crazy, it just takes all the fun out of it. And i know that after i unsurrender some other lvl 5 uber raider will be right there to hit me again and i will be back down to lvl 3 again just because i don have loads of cash to buy the best units or buy the best empire.

keep in mind that lvl 5 his assets are verry limited if the other guy has big toys.......
you'd be suprised how much damage you can do with 3-4 batts of hunters defending a flat zone, even if you lose a batt of v's per kill, you are still ahead.
and if your fl can supply you, most you should be all set

Yes it would do some damage but keep in mind no real person would let a lone mech go against a batty of hunters and some of these really upgraded mechs have longer range stuff then the hunters missles. And some of these uber raiders have mechs with more armour than is even fair. i mean comone a mad4a with 160 ct points then 60 internals? whats a batty going to do against that when the hunters cant even get into range to fire its missles. and most of these uber raiders gun is -2 or better so every turn would lose a hunter not including anything else that the person has. Some lvl 5's are running 5-6 mechs all with armour that equal a lance of hunters easily. And for the non dper funds get low fast since they dont dp the whole imp resale thing to get cash. So it still boils down to. Uber raiders with unlimited dp would never lose to a non dp'er, so it goes back to either you spend alot of money for the best crap or buy the best empire on the market.(and dont even get started with the DC that alot are doing)

yea the problem is a guy who gets to level 5 has to ask him or her self is it worth it to go on and to have to face an opponute at the same level with heavly modded mechs. Yes you can win against them but you are going to have to blow some cash, build a large fodder force and hope ya can get them trapped. There is the problem do you want to spend that much time and money building a large force. Well if you dont then you are a target, and mechs with those uber mods make it extreamly difficlut to fight them. They have the advantage unless you can trap them and a experienced usually will not fall for such tactics.
Any one who plays will tell ya to watch your levle because as soon as you just rise above your levle thier are dozens of players who prey on these guys, hitting them just as soon as it is possible. usually arround level 5 to6, given that a mid level 5/6 can easily take down an empire that just leveled up and its easy prey for them...
Nev is for players who have money and friends inthe game, the rest of us are simply fodder.

Yah the DC-ing an attacker is pretty lame when raiding. Winning on your own balls instead of the whole team behind you is far more rewarding anyway.
The trouble can be easilly removed by adding the rules: No attacks when employing a DC merc, and no defensive contracts obtainable when at war. Yes that leaves a raider out in the open. And yes, a raid on an active faction will be rather risky at that time. (raid as in rep warring, not objective raid)
