"24 unpainted, instantly ready-to-play plastic BattleMech miniatures", but which Mechs/variants? Inner Sphere? Or Clan? Or both?

BTW, does "instantly ready-to-play" mean that these plastic Mechs are one piece models (= no additional small pieces to glue on)?

IIRC the plastic Mechs from the old City Tech box (OOP) were one piece models.

Did they reuse the plastic Mechs from the City Tech box, or are we talking about new/different plastic Mechs?

Almost forgot, the CBT site offers some nice samples / excerpts (Adobe PDF, viewer software required) from the new "Classic BattleTech Introductory Boxed Set" (no pics of the plastic Mechs though, well, except for the small picture of a Javelin Mech provided in one of the sample PDFs , or did I miss something?) - and the wallpaper looks nice .

It part of the revamping...quick way to get folks playing, they have all the parts and thus off they go...

And yes we all know about the stuff offered at CBT, but many don't go over there officially do to the egos of some of the posters and the less then friendly attitude of many to anyone not singing the praises of game and the storyline.

What's the spread of 'Mechs in it like? I'm looking at starting a mini collection, since I don't have any, and I'd like to know if the box set is a good buy for a seed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

It's a great selection of mechs, with a bunch of 'must-haves'.

In no particular order:

Clint - mine had a bit of mold shift, but nothing terrible.
Catapult - Most of the LRM holes are missing. no big deal.
Whitworth - One arm a bit vague. Otherwise good.
Cicada - Leans back, partly because of an odd base.
Hermes - Good.
Jenner - Very good.
Trebuchet - Good.
Dragon -Good.
Banshee - Good.
Awesome - yep.
Assassin - Looks like half of the right foot fell off of the master sculpt.
Quickdraw - Good.
Vindicator - Good. A three piece mini, for a bit of arm posing.
Panther - Good. The only non-jumping Panther currently available without modding!
Enforcer - Good.
Cyclops - Ok.
Grasshopper - Sculpted with half a head, and the only 'mech in the set without a hexbase.
Atlas - LRM holes are a mess. Tall mech with skinny legs.
Spider - Good.
Jagermech - Good.
Hunchback - Good. Looks almost exactly like the metal version.
Dervish - Good.
Commando - Good. SRM holes messed up a bit.
Zeus - Ok. Shoulders a bit ugly on the sides.

Hey not to be a stick in the mud, but why are you posting whole post from other boards?

Because this "whole post" from another CBT related board contained the answers I was looking for - and other people here at sarna might be interested in these infos too.

The link provided is for reference purposes only - you know, a short link to where to get the original source/info - and or some additional info -, if wanted/necessary.

Okay great, but most of us that care about the CBT boards will visit them.

And if you got your answer, then really did you need to share it over here?
