I think something that would really improve the game is having a admin....you know that person who logins and fixes things. Does updates. And has their finger on the pulse of their player base.

from what i know of the games history, and what i heared and what i see from the admins work over the years, it would be much an easier task for a different admin (or rather dev team) to recode nev than to learn how it works now.

Wayward is the only one who actually knows how nev works now. And he ought to have a right for his own life. There doesn't seem to be enough donations to hire helpers for nev however.

the tweaking and the parameters nev is using right now are pretty precious right now however.

The player help admins could be a very good solution to many of nevs problems. However i'm waiting since 8 or 9 months for a reply by WWS now. When he posted his request for player help admins in the updates, i responded, as asked with an help ticket. I'm slightly tired of waiting now.

The game was doing fine until some major system implementations were introduced. It was bringing in enough cash to support Invasion as a business and beyond. I am not sure what can be done to salvage what has been loss, but I hope this serves as an example in the future.

Despite what many will try to say otherwise, there is an active Admin. He does not spend a lot of time in chat as in the 'old days'. He has a job now to support his family. Whatever events led up to the lack of CONSISTANT and SUSTANABLE donations, I am not qualified to debate. The point is that they have reduced, and as such, our lone Admin needs to find other means to make a living.

Please keep in mind that the lack of a reply to a ticket, or the lack of an update does not mean that the game is NOT being worked on behind the scenes.

The initial Player Admins have been selected. There has not yet been an official announcement from the admins on this yet. The subject was discussed here tho.

I have heard that some players got a response to thier offers to be player admins, basically thanking them for the offer, but not getting accpeted. Not sure when or how the replies where sent out. There was the mass closing of tickets that may have simply colsed your initial Player Admin ticket. On the other hand, if you have not gotten a 'thanks anyway' response, your ticket may be on the short list for added PAs in the future if the program expands. I am of course just guessing here, but its a logical answer.+

Well i've been waiting since March of last year. WW told be to hang in line, until he has an idea how to implement it. later he told me to wait to wait until he implements a system, that later became the player admin system. When the update was posted i sent a ticket. But i never got any response. I'm not angry for not having that job, i'm sure you lads will do a good job, but i haven't started any other project for a whole year as i was waiting to help nev. I considered several times to get back into a game modding community, but droped it due to my offer to WW.

The Player Admin program is starting off very slowly. Several factors play into that, which I wont get into here on the forums, but the expansion plans for now I would say are a ways off.

I am sorry that you put things on hold for that long of a period over this. I would say for now, move on to whatever other project has your attention atm and when Neveron gets to the point where it needs to expand the PA program, there will be plenty of time for you to make a choice to adjust current obligations or pass on any offer made to you as a PA.

This advice I would say applies to anyone else in a similar situation as well. This is of course just my personal opinions on this, and not anything official I have heard from WWS.

Yes actually Matt and I have both answered several tickets already. In fact, we have even on accasion consulted with each other when dealing with some tickets as we both get the feel for how best to do the job of PA.

As I said before in the reply to everyone, I wont get into the factors of why the program is starting off slowly. People will fill in what ever answers they feel appropiate there. No matter what I might say, those statements will be challenged, questioned or doubted by someone...so I wont waste my time debating that topic. Just know that WWS has good intentions and is in fact trying to make Neveron a better experience for everyone now and in the future. Will things be perfect along the way? No. To expect anything even close to perfect is wrong. Neveron has always been a game in flux as its been developed over the years. So accept it as it is or whatever it becomes, or stop playing.

As for the FWar issues...my two cents worth.

WWS disabled parts of the FWar code on the 18th so that no new FWars could no longer be declared as posted in the updates. It appears however, that section of the code also created some other issues which were not apparent. So now any empire involved in any FWar is still partially wrapped up in the 'buggy' FWar code.

In some cases it restricts the empire in the FWar. In other cases, its NOT restricting empires that it should be restricting [non merc emps can attack emps in FWar]. The fact that empires can not leave/ join any factions is proof that the FWar code was not deleted as some rumors have tried to imply. The negative days on the FWar page is simply tracking the time as the FWar code should be doing. The 'Declare' fwar code that was disabled is likely also the needed code to end fwars. FL surrenders were not counted as an automatic FWar loss, they were instead added to the faction total loss. So again, unknown random sections of the code are also 'disabled' from the 18th update.

Until such time as WWS gets back into Neveron and clears out all existing FWar code, I personally would like to suggest a player implemented CF/ NAP for all empires in FWars. If any empire attacks you from in a FWar, then by all means, attack THAT empire back. One empire attacking out DOES NOT open that entire faction to hits. Im asking for non fwar attacks to be halted until WWS clears the buggy FWar code out once and for all.

Many of the empires that have been attacked should have been in 15 days FWar protection. Simply waiting for the timer to go -15 is also not the answer. The empires can not rebuild since they are technically stuck ion Wars and cant repair or destroy infra as might have been done otherwise after the FWar. Empires stuck in FWars cant attack back properly. Those empires are stuck in wars and cant adjust their surrender percentages that were set during FWars. Existing DoWs that should have been ended in the FWar are also still active. Etc Etc Etc

I think its a matter of him simply turning fwar code back on, letting it all run thru and process all the FWars, then finally remove / delete the FWar code once and for all.
