Neveron's site always down :(
      #148284 - 09/08/07 07:17 AM (151.43.194.62)

I know that mantain the server stable when there are hundreds of people using it, it's not easy, but recently it's usually down...
I'm new so i don't know if it's only a recent problem or it's long time there is it...
I would only know if it's a problem that can be solved, if not i think i will delete my account.

P.S. I've used every kind of browser expecially IE so the problem i think is not mine
P.P.S. I'm sorry for my English but i'm Italian

Thank you for the reply, the firewall was already disabled.
I've tried www.neveron2.com but it opens only a page with a lot of links that aren't linked with any battletech game

Anyway neveron sometimes works, but i must be very lucky

more like very unlucky.

Since the last major outage (down for what a month?) Nev is always working for me, with no real issue of outage. I would say it is on you end, sorry.

What it is that is causing it who knows? Could even be your local provider.

The question is not how far, the question is do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as needed?

Disabling your entire firewall is not a suggestion id advise. Looking to see if you can grant access to Neveron to pass thru the firewall legitimately would be the better choice. Exactly how this is accomplished with your system you will have to figure out.

Also adding Neveron as a trusted site, and then checking your trusted site settings, may actually fix a lot of your issues with Neveron. By default Microsoft has been disabling many of the 'features' in IE, to 'protect' you from hackers and virues etc. Those features tho are exactly what you need to make most sites work right. Jave scripting for example is used by Neveron. Scripting can be used by hackers to do nasty things to your computer. So microsofts answer is to turn of scripts. Once you go into IE setting and turn it back on, you cant sue Microsoft for an attack on your computer. So use care when adding any site to the 'Trusted Site" list and adjusting any of those settings. Especially based on random 'advice' from some forum...

There is a normal lag period every morning at about 5AM server time. This is when the system does a bunch of random updates and purges and other such maintenance items if I remember correctly. Check to see what your local time is to this time of day.

As pointed out above, most server downtime has been few and far between. It does happen, thats a part of life on the internet. Issues like the ISP going down for thier own reasons will also result in Neveron crashing or lagging out horribly. The Admin will usually post an update when its been an outside issue. If you log into Neveron daily, rather than once a week, you would see that Neveron is up pretty regularily. Back when the servers where hosted directly by Neveron ADmins, there where many more issues with hardware etc, and the lack of back ups. This for the most part has been resolved by paying to have the game hosted elsewhere on a server service.

As for browesers mentioned. Neveron will only work with Internet Explorer. It has not been coded for use on any other browsers, and wont likely be any time in the near future.

And just an FYI: There is apparently several links that all direct you to Neveron:

www.neveron.com

www2.neveron.com

www3.neveron.com

These all will get you to Neveron's login page, as well as any other varient of a number that you plug into the 'www' part of the address line. Not sure exactly why it does this, but www140.neveron.com will get you to Neveron as well.

You can also try to access Neveron via the IP address: http://216.19.47.70/ -or- http://216.19.47.72/
