Overview: Muninn and Huginn were Memory and Thought, the two ravens that were ever Odin's constant companions. Thought is hope to be personified in the creation of the Scout mech Huginn created by Ground Zero Salvage and Technology. While the Mist Fey design would have filled the role as well, GZT did not have enough of the needed Stealth armor to build the Fey in sufficient numbers.
Capabilities: The Huginn has similar capabilities to the rarer Mist Fey in that both machines are equipped with a Bloodhound probe to detect hidden enemies and an Angel ECM to avoid detection. The Huginn goes a few steps further though by rounding out the electronics package with a TAG to call in supporting artillery fire and a C3 slave to supply info to an equipped C3 command unit. Production of the Huginn has prompted Ground Zero to push its Thozian command mech into production as well. The Huginn also outdoes the Mist Fey in manuverability with 7 jumpjets which the Fey could not mount, and MASC to enable fast get aways. The developers decided on the name Huginn because with a thought, the pilot could detect enemies, call down fire from the sky in the form of artillery, or spot for a long range support unit.
Configuration / Variants: None at this time
Battle History: The Huginn has been used to great effect in conjunction with C3 equipped units and with mechs using the ARROW IV missile system such as the Iron Rain, also produced by Ground Zero. So far only one unit has been lost. This was due to pilot negligence in over using the MASC system causing failure in key actuators. This slowed the mech down enough for an opposing Cerberus to get in a lucky gauss slug to the engine resulting in catastrophic failure of the reators containment field.
Deployment: The Huginn is currently only present in the Stonkin Mechs Inc mercenary unit and two of the Great Houses who wish to remain unidentified at this time.
