Running mp would be 5, not 4..
As for the rest of it..Are you sure you're not a Lyran? This design fits their design philosophy to a T.
edit: Oh and hardened armor is not level 2, it's level 3, therefore it's inclusion means the whole mech is, too.

Yes the running is correct. You lose one running speed factor with hardened armor.
I cant help that House Steiner likes my ideas. Now if they would just crawl back to Davion and beg for forgiveness. We would be in 100% agreement.

2/5 would not make sense. Why would it make sense to reduce the walking speed and not the running speed. So 3/4 would be correct.

with normal armor, would it be 4/6? 3/4 does not make sense. running is rarely calculated like that. I have seen 1/2 2/3 3/5 4/6 5/8 so on and so forth. If it was originally 3/5 and walking was reduced by one, the movement would be 2/3. if it was 4/6 and walking was reduced by one, then would be 3/5. Unless this is some of that there 'new' cbt math. As I am not familiar with hardened armor, I could be mistaken though. I should get some new books so I can keep up with the times, I guess.

With hardened armor the mechs running speed is lowered by one.
Clan Buster is a 100 ton mech with a 300 rated engine. That would give it a speed of 3/5. But with hardened armor its running speed is reduced by one. So its final speed with the hardened armor is 3/4.

After having checked my own copy of Maximum tech, I can confirm this is the case. The mobility statistics are correct as shown. (never hurts to have someone confirm you're right, eh?)

I take 1 mist lynx (koshi), load it with a single ER large laser and targeting computer, I win... eventually 
yeah, yeah its gimicy.. but no more so then anything that is beyond 3050 tech....

Your right it would. Unless there was something in the area that could run it down.
Of course that tactic is very unClan like behaver. My mech is not only designed to fight the clans tech but the way they fight also.

that you are either not going to get The New Core Books
or
that you are going to kiss Warships, Artillery, Mines, etc. and other old Rules Level 2 Equipment that was never Tournament Legal away along with the Rules Level 3 Equipment that wasn't Deemed Tournament Legal (Much of the old Rules Level 3 Equipment became Tournament Legal in Total Warfare)
Total Warfare and Tech Manual are Stripped down to only the Tournament Legal Rules...

Well I am going to get Tactical ops, and the other two, when they come out..But I probably won't use the lvl 3 stuff in them..Unless warships have suddenly become lvl 3 outright.
To explain my view on level 3, it is basically that I dislike some of the more experimental stuff in it..Some of it is somewhat broken, last time I knew.
