This armored car is meant for light guard duty aka for non critical insulations, convoys so on and so forth. In times of civil unrest it can mow down mobs of people very quickly. Rubber MG ammo is highly recommended and supplied for such uses of the armored car. The manufacture does not support mass murder of civilians. Also, if used in very large numbers they can be a risk to heavier tanks and mechs.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

This light car could be upgraded with the LRM-1 also.

It could do a good job of coming up from behind and sniping at a mechs rear armor. It could also be used as bait to draw a mechs into an ambush.

Excellent design. You need these utility vehicles sometimes.

If you shed a half ton of armor, then you could give it a bit more ammo or a half-squad of infantry.

If your talking of the upgrade, as I deigned the LRM-1 it has all the ammo internally and can't have additional ammo bins.

If your talking of the original, its well protected from small arms but anything like a heavy crew weapon it would go right through. I don't like how light the armor is as it is. With the external cargo rules some infantry could ride on the out side. Two armored infantrymen would be a good idea for riding externally like they do on mechs
