Okay what's with the annoying Google Ads? They are sorta related to BT but are kind of annoying with the Anime style RPG one that keeps flashing pics etc...and one for lotion? Come on what has that tod with anything we talk about around here?

can't we get rid of those annoying adds?
how much donations would you need to run Sarna without adds?

Which ones are annoying to you specifically? I want to incorporate ads into the site while not being too obtrusive that they piss off regulars.

by far the worst is the one between the first post and the answers in a thread.
heavyly animated and blinking posts would be extremely annoying everywhere on the page. however i haven't seen such adds in sarna yet, i've been only told there would be some.

Told there would be some? By who?
The ads served up are all by Google AdSense. While they do offer animated ads, I've never seen any "hit the monkey" or other annoying animated ads from Google. If they do that, I will pull animated ads.
There are two possibles for ads between posts. "small and wide" and "big box". Is the "small and wide" ad better than the "big box" ad as far as being less distracting?
I'm definitely interested in input here.

Okay the game related and Sci-fi related ads are great, but ones for fasteners and Thread and Bolts and screw drivers?
I actually found use for one of the ads that had CAV miniatures listed so they can be helpful.
They really need to be site orientated though.

I'm told the AdSense ads become more targeted over time, as Google has time to re-index the site with a 'what ads should go here' focus. We'll see.

That's because he makes so many posts...and the word Killeen appears beside each and every one of them, so Google, like any well-behaved little search engine, finds ads appropriate to the site "content"

Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.
