Since the design of C3i, I thought that the Draconis Combine might want to try and "enhance" standard C3 systems, to help in defending their C3 master systems. For this, I made the idea of C3e- C3 enhanced.
Weight: 1.5 tons Criticals: 1 crit
Basically, it follows the idea of linking everyone together, but only with 3 others. I thought that the individual, the one mounting the system, would not need any extra equipment (they already have a system) and each 0.5 tons of the system would go for the other three members- thus, 1.5 tons.
The system basically has all the benefits of C3i and the problems associated with it, including lacking TAG ability and having no "master" system.
Good idea? I think so.

To munchine... C3 is pretty muchie as is and you take a system that weights 8 tons and 8 crits down to 6 tons and 4 crits and eliminate its weakness... smells like munkin work to me.
The C3i system is pretty munchi to begin with also, so any weight/ crit reduction just makes it that much worse.
Sorry but, no this isn't a good idea. Dester

C3i is geared for an organization that does 6 vehicle units...
POD is gearing for a 4 vehicle unit
2.5 * 6 = 15 tons 2 * 6 = 12 crits
2.5 / 6 * 4 = 1.6666666666666666666666666666667... 1.5 is close enough 2.5 / 5 * 3 = 1.5... spot on
2 / 6 * 4 = 1.33 still 2 crits i think 2 / 5 * 3 = 1.2 still 2 crits i think...
so, POD has something that balances well with the C3i
comparing that with 5 * 4 + 8 * 1 = 28 tons/crits for 12 mechs (2.33 per mech) 5 * 1 + 3 * 1 = 8 tons / crits for 4 Mechs (2 per mech)
If i were doing an variant, i would gear towards a 2.5 ton, 2 crit variant of the C3i that is capable of doing 12 vehicle units. or having a 1 ton 1 crit jumper in a Level II or Lances command Vehicle that makes it possible for the Level II, or Lance to operate on a Level III or Company Level Net much like a fourth master in the company commanders vehicle (or company command lances XO) makes it possible for each lance to operate on a company level net.

It is my opinion that all statements should be questioned, digested, disected, tasted, and then either spit out or adopted... RHIP is not a god given shield
