------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== Named after the Celtic god of Thunder as a counterpart to the Thor, the Taranis was designed to match its counterpart's speed and firepower, but with heavier armour protection.
The main armament are a paired Heavy PPC and RAC/5, capable of delivering punishing damage to enemy targets. The secondary weapon is the MML9, capable of providing long and short range firepower. This firepower comes at the expense of range though it is fast enough to close with most enemy mechs of its weight class.
Although it lacks the jump jets of the Thor, it makes up for it with heavier armour.

Not bad. Few things... I think an LB 10-X AC would be better then the rotary. never been a fan of the RACs and the 5 is the worst of the bunch. Besides the crit potential of cluster rounds to exploit the big holes your HGR is going to make would be better. This also saves enough weight to cover your other issue in the lack of secondary weapons... pair of med lasers goes a long way

Second the opinion... Definately needs something to use "in a pinch" thats not going to be Ammunition-based.

Try using decimal points instead of commas for tonnages and vice versa for cost & BV.
Wow, those bracing maneuvers sure do come in handy when firing proximity fused precision cluster flak ammo at a Balancer LAM. Unfortunately they make my 'Mech an immobile target for that LAM. Oh well, at least I'm getting partial cover.
