OK,There are several different expansions for mech mercs 4; where is the documentation on this site telling whc\ich downloads do what? Maybe I'm stupid, but I'm just not seeing it.

You can get the Inner Sphere Mek pak, the Clan Mek Pak, or Mektek off the internet.
The first two are made by Microsoft, that add 4 'mechs, a new weapon, and a new multiplayer map to the mix. However, if you have the choice, go with the clan one- the IS one only adds the HGR as a new weapon, one that you (surpise!) get in Mechwarrior 4 mercs.
And everyone should get Mektek.
