By the way, any Nev-related, oddly familiar déjà-vu feelings after having read the article at mmorpg?
Some oldtimers / veterans who have been playing Neveron and or watching the sarna forums for many years might remember the following old thread:
"some thoughts [long, sorry] on the "forced faction war"-admin log from mattbuck's Platonian website"
http://www.sarna.net/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/118773/page/115/fpart/all/vc/1
Well, retrospectively it really looks like some of the players who dared to voice their concerns about the introduction of forced faction war(s) early on - and who dared to emphasize the importance of an intact community / playerbase (intact faction / alliance structures) - got the right idea what would have been necessary for a good, healthy and self-sustaining / self-replenishing / self-regenerating community / playerbase at Neveron in the long run: a good and healthy mix of old and new players ...
Looks like artificially disrupting and or tearing apart the naturally grown social fabric, which tends to keep a gaming community / playerbase together and or alive, for example via introducing some kind of 'visionary', new "forced faction war" 'feature', in order to get rid of most if not all disgruntled veterans (including a lot of old and or loyal long term donators) wasn't a good admin decision ...
Just some food for thought ...
Have a nice day / night.
