Log in issues

Running windows XP 64, with IE 8.
Ever since my empire became lv1, i cant login.
I always get registration errors.
I already tried every single step on the registration error page. In order:
-Installed Neveron ActiveX control
-Changed security checkings to allow it to install
-Put neveron.com as a trusted website
-Downloaded the control manually
-registered the control manually ( the "regsvr32 nevctrl1.ocx" commad )
After registering the control, the site stopped asking me to install the control every time i try to get in, but i still keep getting the "failed to authenticate" page.
Is there anything else i can do?

ive heard of IE8 problems but im not to tech savy im still running IE7 and ive had no issues im also on a 32bit system etc.
