Has anyone else heard about Mektek releasing a free download package of Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries and all its expansion packs? How would I go about downloading it and from which site?

This is good news! If I try to install any of the mekpaks none of the 4 series games works afterwards. So, hopefully that little glitch will be fixed. Maybe there will be a MW4 resurgence...ah the good old day with Clan Fire Mandrill...

I realize that the sue-happiness mentality is a problem. But why on Earth do game servers or download servers need to be insured. And why would you be paying the premium so far in advance for the release?
And then, of course there is all the cloke-and-dagger crap where they can't really tell us anything other then that is Microsoft's fault (now that's an origional excuss!) and that nothing is ever free.
