==Overview:==
In 3050 Khan Khatib called for the design and construction of a dropship that
could provide devastating firepower in support of both ground and space
operations. In addition he wanted a weapon that personified the Clan and
their war-fighting philosophy. After years of secret research and development
the the Cloud Cobra was unveiled.
==Capabilities:==
The Cloud Cobra mounts the some of the heaviest weapons in the Clan arsenal.
From the dual Killer Whale launchers that make even the heaviest fighters take
notice to the six Gauss Rifles for strafing ground targets the weaponry was
picked for maximum damage. The twelve wing-mounted LB 20-X ACs have even been
known to "dust" smaller fighters with a single burst. Twenty forward-facing
Large Pulse lasers provide devastating damage against targets on the ground,
air and in space. Even the rear is well protected making enemy fighter pilots
disinclined to engage the Cloud Cobra.
The Cloud Cobras unique profile resembles the head of a cobra. A cleaver bit
of design, the hood of the cobra actualy provides lift in atmospheric
operations and is the main surface for venting the massive amounts of heat
the weapons systems produce.
==Battle History:==
After the Cloud Cobra's initial use to break the stalemate on Brim with the
Coyotes Zeta Galaxy, the Coyotes decided to strike back. They sent the Lola
III class Honor of Ages along with aerospace elements of Zeta galaxy to the
shipyards over Homer to gain the powerful new dropship design for themselves.
The Cobras bid the Kailen Seiner, a brand new Cloud Cobra that had just
completed her shake-down cruise. The Coyotes bid feircely and in the end only
the Honor of Ages was left to the Trial.
The battle lasted for fifteen minutes with both vessels taking heavy damage.
The Kailen Steiner however was being served by an elite test crew who
continualy used their vessels superior manuverability to attack the aft
quarters of the Ages. After numerous hit and run attacks several of the Ages
weapons bays were destroyed in addition to her communications and manuvering
systems being severly damaged. Unable to hail reinforcements or put up a
serious fight, the commander of the Ages surrendered by shutting down his
vessel's fire control and drive systems. The Kailen Steiner's crew claimed
the Honor of Ages as isorla. The rest of the Coyote forces attempted a run at
the shipyards but after their Jumpships were threatened by the Kailen Seiner
they were granted hegira and left.
==Deployment==
Each Galaxy in the Clan's touman sports one Cloud Cobra. In addition each
Naval star has a star of Cloud Cobras assigned to it.
