==Overview:==
The MBR-10D Blaster was a simple design. It used a number of off the shelf
items adding in limited new technology as to both keep the cost down as well
as the maintance time.
The designers wanted something that even the newist cadet could use and feel
like they have to relearn everything.
With the need of the Co-Alliance has for mechs, many feel that Alexandria
Institute could have upgraded any of their trainer mechs and still managed a
nice profit versues retooling two factories to make a new mech. Also it has
been sited that many see this new war against the Karagin to be one of all or
nothing. The recent politcal upheaval in the Vondor Imperium, resulting in a
six way civil war as well as some trying to hold back the invading Imperial
Karagin armies, have further convinced many in the Co-Alliance to start arming
everyone and having numerous mechs and other war machines on hand and ready.
The Blaster has impressive firepower, two well ranged long guns gives it a
change to wound and sometimes cripple its' targets at range, the ability for
it move in and take the return fire, allows it to bring the medium ranged
firepower of the quartet of medium lasers it has secondary weapon.
