Continued from the Various Upgraded Designs thread.
This thread examines the Inner Sphere Honor Guard's only Executioner A, and its use from 3055 to 3081 and beyond.
History:
After suffering heavy losses and losing Gen. Alexander (the old CO) to Clan Jade Falcon forces on Coventry, the ISHG retreated to its home in Caselton to lick its wounds. Seeing the kind of damage Clan mechs can cause, Deuce has since been obsessed with possessing and piloting one in battle. Unlike a lot of other pilots, Deuce is the oddball of the ISHG, not really competent, but always desiring to prove his worth. Especially after the humiliation he faced after being thrown across a hallway by Jonas, Deuce has since vowed to get back at him, but ultimately had no means to do so. Until John took him under his wing. John used Deuce's anger and weakness for Clan mechs to get Deuce to do his dirty work.
Secretly allocating some of the ISHG's funds, John bought Deuce a slightly modified Clan Executioner A off the Draconis Combine/Free Rasalhauge black markets. This became Deuce's personal Executioner A.

This design served Deuce well, and in it he actually gained some skill with aiming the pulse lasers. When the Jihad years promped the removal of the C3 systems, John had it replaced with a Clan ECM suite. This resulted in the slightly downgraded Executioner A2.

After the Jihad ended, so did all of the ISHG's internal conflict concerning John. In fact, for all of his humiliations, Deuce became frustrated with John's plots and ideas, and actually was the key player in exposing John. Thus, Deuce was pardoned after John's trial for any misdeeds, and was finally recognized for his service to the ISHG. This has since quelled his convictions, and to this day Deuce serves the ISHG well.

Well, that IS the Executioner A loadout. :P
Basically it removes the machine guns, adds ferro fibrous armor, and increases the armor with enough to spare for a TAG and C3 Slave

Errata: The Jade Falcon assault on Coventry was in 3058, and although the Executioner A has been familiar with Inner Sphere units since 3050, it wasn't available to the ISHG until 3062. This means Deuce's Executioner A is a 3062 design, and his A2 variant is a 3068 design.
Guess I needed to check the history more.
