MekWars Forever (MekWars Forever Homepage )is now open for BETA testing purposes. Come join us and be a part of developing the campaign from the ground up, so to speak. Currently, we incorporate the following settings:



Almost 2,000 planets as close to canon placement as possible.

For now, only 5 IS factions (CC, DC, FS, FWL and LA) and the Periphery. Adding clans will be discussed and looked at during BETA.

Fairly high production levels: Replacing units will be easy- building a huge hanger, a bit more difficult

Movement through time: rather than a point in real-time where we suddenly move forward in game-time, we will instead be gradually moving through game-time as the server progresses. Some of the changes will be announced (FWL opened a new factory on XXX building YYY), while others will be subtle and not announced (additions/subtractions from build tables). The hope is that players will look back after a time and realize the changes but not notice them so much while they are happening.

Use of faction leaders: Each faction will be expected to vote for and elect a faction leader in their forums. The faction leaders will be much more than figure-heads, however. They will play a huge role in the meta-game. What that role is will be better left to surprise.

Starting server era is ca.3030. The majority of the units will be 3025 units including all levels of tech. Reward and rare tables will have near-future experimental units.

Left-over SLDF units will appear from time to time. The rarity will depend on needs of play balance and be adjusted throughout the BETA run.

A great many non-canon, custom units. In addition, will run a "custom unit contest" at different times through the cycle to add even more custom units to the game. Rewards to be had for those whose designs are added to the campaign.

VERY high gains from operations to create a VERY fluid map (20-40cp/game or more). Standard worlds will only have the standard 100cp to create a very fluid turnover of ownership. Factory planets will have 500cp and home worlds 1000cp to provide a more stable production environment.

Fully functional black-market with many units not available on the factions build tables.
