So my buddy and I are ready to move beyond just mechs. We're thinking we'd like to get into tanks & other stuff. I also wanted to get into hardened targets with defenses, like stationary gun emplacements, or turrets. Are these part of the game? I don't see record sheets for stationary gun emplacements anywhere...
New to the game... And little obsessed.

They are part of the game, the rules for them are not commonplace, they use to be in the Master Rulebook and in all the other books before that one and they first showed up in the Citytech rulebook. They were under Installations, the closest you are going to get to fixed gun emplacement in Battletech.
Tactical Warfare Rule book or one of the others should have the rules.
You may want to check the Wiki on BT, they might have the sheets or ask over on Heavy Metal Pro, someone is bound to have them.
