Welcome to Neveron, and just as importantly, welcome to the Neveron Forums. This is one of the best places to get answers to question you want to ask.
Some basic tips to help you get started:
Make sure to go through the Neveron Tutorials to help you get started. If you are 'too smart' for tutorials, at least browse the posts on the forums to make sure you arn't missing anything important.
It takes a lot of time to do anything in Neveron, especially compared to other webgames. There are no resets. This has its pluses and its minuses. We believe the pluses far outweigh the minuses. Also...Ten Neveron days (or Nevdays) equal one "Real Day", ten Neveron years (Nevyears) equal one "Real Year" and ten Neveron hours (Nevhours) equal one "Real Hour". As you can see, the general conversion is that ten Neveron time units equal one real time unit. Keep this in mind.
Start more than one empire. Though you can only have up to five, it is a smart idea to keep more than one empire on hand, either just in case, or to diversify your portfolio, so to speak. It is entirely possible to have your empire destroyed at any time.
Look for a 'faction' to join. Low level empires are the most avidly sought by factions, as they offer the best long term potential at the lowest entrance costs. Factions offer repair facilities, new friends and allies, and some extra security on a strife-torn world.
Neveron is as much a game of politics as it is of war. There are shifting alliances between factions and groups, some of which have existed for years. Be careful of whom you offend and who you befriend.
Neveron is based on Battletech, using the 3025 rules. It does not precisely duplicate Battletech. Many units are different. Many rules are different. Many units are completely new. Several 'high tech' units exist, but they are all donation only.
Here are links to the other 'stickies' on this forum and other posts that may prove important. Note: These links are all in 'flat' mode.

Some information on attacking other empires
Some extra 'hidden help pages'. Thank you Stalker17 and Staker.
For the budding faction leader. This page lists the amount of 'points' a faction leader has available for his level, and how many points empires under him take.
This is a slightly outdated page that gives an overview of the current sensors rules and what all those numbers are for.
If you are logged in, this page will list the resource requirements breakdown of all items you can currently manufacture.
Oversized Military Tax
Don't worry about this page. It helps calculate the tax for 'oversized militaries', but it only actually kicks in at high levels. Fooling around with the numbers can be kind of neat, though.
This page lists all the support points used by the empire you are currently logged in on, listed by type. (IE, Mech, Hover, Tower..) You can use this information on the OMT page, though it automatically fetches it much of the time.
RNG Test 2
These two pages are for the purposes of testing the Neveron RNG if you feel frustrated with it.
