So, fractional accounting to get a half-ton of Srm ammo... But otherwise a solid L1 design...

So what is wrong with using the fractional accounting? It works out well for some mechs were a full ton or so of ammo is not really needed.

I've always thought SRM2 and AC/2 should allow ammo by the .5 ton...unless you're running a campaign with no reloads, you'll never deplete that a full ton with a single weapon...all the full ton does is increase the damage from an ammo hit. MG ammo by the .25 ton would be nice too...50 rounds is ample for a MG pair.
Peace is that glorious moment in history when everyone stands around reloading.

I've been meaning to chime in on this one too. Ammo half tons is one of the things I'd like to see tournament legal and retro-active. Maybe even quarter tons. Its just sensible for light mech design in any era. And, with all the new ammo types it makes for nice tactical options if you're willing to risk extra crits to explosion.

For MGs I have gone down to .05 tons and .1 on SRMs on my fractional accounting for my ultra light vehicles. With only 3 to 10 tons total weight on a vehicle to work with you would have to just to have something that works.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

But I got a promotion.
I am now a General *pain*
