Automated Functions

One of the big reasons for secondary empires is cause current empires have just gotten so BIG. And the day to day running of a bigger empire can be a chore. Anyone who has had to clean up a level 12 after a war can tell you how much fun it is. So basically what are some things we can look at that would speed up, and make the work load of running a empire easier.

some ideas:

1. Auto-build
2. Auto-Construction of zones
3. Auto-Training
4. Auto-unit creation


1a- Auto build is for factories. Basically you pick what u want, quanity, and click done, and it does the rest. From grabbing resources to building.

2a- Just set the amount of buildings and click build, it used to be like this and was changed. Its stupid you have to click to refresh or you wont build.

3a Being able to pick a skill level, and then units are trained till they reach that level.

4a Unit create we have now, but needs some added features. Expand to creating a battalion, with name, and being able to ship the battalion to a city, before it goes into training from creation.

honestly, most people should shave down their empires if they are beyond their ability to control.

But this line of thinking has some good potential in it.

1. There should be some warning about how much it will cost to aquire the resources if you dont have them on hand. Would hate to click on something and burn thru some cash you had in reserve uncase your attacked.

2. Would suggest finding some way to make the engineering vehicle worth something. maybe a discount on building costs. I can see having to refresh to continue building. It makes people have to actually log in once in a while, instead of having others do it all the time. Also prevents you from finding out that your bv+pop takes you into a higher level then you wanted to be in.

3. I like this one alot, but there is a small problem with it. If you get a moron that wont skill, they will constantly drain your funds without being able to pull them out and shoot them. Maybe set it up so they train x days, then those that didnt skill to the level set, have to be clicked on to go back into training.

4 Paus will love you for this one. I can definately see a big advantage to building a batt out of the same units with a single click of the mouse. Was gonna suggest leaving out the instant training, but forgot the larger empires auto train troop when created. Havent had one unit skill during this time, so not really fond of it.

Why not make the work of running such a large emp HARDER, and force people to reduce the size of empires

Building stuff isnt that hard, the page tells you what you're short of, you either make it, or you buy it.

They put the 25 at a time in to slow down growth, they didnt want people building 1Ks in 2 rl days, also, with SoI, would you really want some other empire building a 50k pop zone right by you in 1 day to steal your zones?

We can train units 100 at a time and use the skill filters or action filters to pick what we want. We have mass decom/scrap/train, anymore would cause extra lag no one wants. Also like ghost said, non-trainers would constantly cost you money. Training mass units isnt hard and doesnt take long at all.

Unit creation was limited to company size to keep lag to a minimum. Same reason they removed battalion training for a while. If you want the batt in a certain city, then put the tanks there in the armory and comm them. Otherwise, you'll have people comming batts of tanks and shipping them to cities about to be under attack so when they get there and go into their training, they come out immediately and fight.

Oddly, I agree with buc, if you can't handle a big empire, don't make your empire big. Plenty of people stay small and are quite happy. It takes a special kind of person to want to run a behemoth.

any one who has a large empire knows they have throw away zones etc and core areas. tbh if you cant handle a larger empire then dont have it. they are not for everyone. as gunner has pointed out to run an uber large empire is not for every player. to make it easier to run a larger empire in my eyes is not a good plan. if you cant login in 1x a day or every other day then prob find another game? l8rs DABOSS

Cool glad you guys are thinking this way. So while we are at it, we should remove ABR, and all pilot logins. Cause like you guys are saying, if you cant run it yourself you should have a smaller empire.

I dont feel like I can run a large empire, so I dont own one. As for others, thats their choice. I do agree that large empire are required in the game, since trying to build a single mech in a smaller empires is almost impossible without hundreds of thousands of workers. Some of the suggestions above would make life easier for all levels, though some of them dont need alot of them. A level 1 isnt gonna comm a batt unless its jeeps, and paus already owns several larger empires.

Now people owning more then one large empire need help. With that point, i can see why people want to make it harder to run a large empire. I can agree with this to a point. Once you got the empire set up, it is a hell of a lot easier to run then someone just starting out.

I do agree with daboss on his last statement. Why would you need 134 logins to your empire? no more then 6 or so should suffice. And that would only be to put things on the market for alliance mates when your not on.
I know some people have limited time online, and that cuts into doing housecleaning on the empire. Unless your just coming off a war, there should not be that much confusion going on that you need 4 hours a day to take care of. If there is, or you cannt spend the time doing it, then you should consider trimming down the empire.

Pimp, I think the removal of Forced ABR would be a great idea! If you keep forced, at least make it wait the 30 mins as per standard ABR

i wouldnt mind some type of FL transfer that was automated. also factory type automated idea? some simple types of things. would take away having to many logins which will take away some poss login misuse issues. l8rs DABOSS
