My Blurb: Not much to say about this. Designed for as a "disposable" garrison 'Mech. I used the Urbanmech philosophy to make a cheap but effective close-range fighter. Reinforced structure plus Hardened armour makws the Lump touch to kill, and the use of a Compact Engine and Gyro protect the critical components. Decent close-quarters firepower is provided by a pair of ER Medium Lasers and a pair of Medium X-Pulse Lasers, providing both range and accuracy. Medium 'Mech firepower, Heavy 'Mech durability, Light 'Mech price tag. And the mobility of a tent peg...

Hey can't wait. I do like this mech, it gives the high tech wonder toys out there to the folks who end up needing them but for a decent price.
Well done!

That's kinda the idea. The light size and tiny engine keep things affordable, and with the Pulse Lasers, you can dump Green or even Trainee pilots into these things and still be effective against most Light raiders who make it into the city. And with 5 of these for the price of a 3025 Atlas, that's a cheap garrison force.
Edited for typos

This does bring up a question. Since walking and running speeds are the same would the mech be running when ever its moving a 2 by default since that is the worse case scenario?
A very interesting design. My problem with it is that its just way to slow. Its to easy to pin it down, flank it, and destroy it. Other than that I kind like it for its role in Urban fighting, more so than the Urban mech.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

Well, the point of this is that it' cheap enough to be disposable and basically idiot-proof to pilot. You can stick a trainee with no "live" experience in the cockpit and tell them "stand here unless told to go elsewhere; if something steps in front of you, shoot it!"
Ideally you'd have say 3 Green pilots in these and one Veteran (or better) in something more versatile. This design has enough firepower to make Light attackers step carefully, slowing them down while the better 'Mechs/pilots grind them down.

No mech is cheap enough to be disposable even for the Clans.
