i was asked to look after an empire for a faction mate while on a long vacation. while he was out he was hit and the war was a normal one. after the war wa done and i could demob his units i wasnt allowed to due to the active login pop up. now the empire is in neg income due to im not allowed to decom his stuff due to hes having a good time some where besides neveron. does this make one bit of sense to any one? we all know that their is work around for this. but i was told that will be quote "taken care of so players can no longer abuse this". so what do we do mr SM about this obv 2ndary login issue. this is a low lvl empire and when he returns it will now be broke, and in the neg income rather badly. with transfers and caps the joke they are what does he do? the empire is also suffering to the pop-job bug so hes also getting hit with omt. but due to the 2ndary login in pop up im not able to fix his infra what do we do? his vacation was a rather long one 3-4 weeks but hey if you can do it go for it. when he gets back what am i supposed to tell this guy. he depended on me to watch his empire as do alot of players in this game when they like to have a life from neveron. l8rs DABOSS

maybe like a rl 15 day grace period after a finish of a war for secondary logins so things like this can be afforded, i was helping to maintain an empire a while back and had the exact same thing happen, the main pop zones got taken, so the empire wnet into omt, there were plenty of buildables in the empire that i could rebuild it, but instead i got some stupid message about insufficient emperor activity, which made the omt eat all of the empires money reserves within about 5 days, i couldn;t unmob, i couldn;t decom, and the empire went from a nice 3 to a garbage negative cash hell level 2.

i agree that the 'care taker' situation is a challenging one and im open to ideas on how to improve it
however, keep in mind, that the secondary restrictions where put in place like that on purpose, to prevent a player from making 10 empires, placing 5 on a secondary login, then just running all 10 from his primary login for the first 5, and using his secondary login access to run the other 5
as for long term 'away' periods I will be creating a 'vacation' mode that a player can DP for, and it will likely freeze the empire, until the primary login is accessed again. This will mean that no one can use that empire, it will not be able to be attacked, and it cant buy/sell market items etc. So for the person lucky enough to take a 2 to 4 week trip, they can simply lock down their empire with the vaca mode.
this however does not address the FL that doesnt want to lock down the empire...they are back to the 'inactive emperor' issue
one possible option to address this, would be to transfer the empire ownership to this 'trusted' caretaker during your vacation [since you already gave them your primary login in lost cases] . this would also assume that the caretaker does not already have the 5 max empires on their login
again, im open to ideas, but they need to fix multiple problems in order to be useful ideas
