Hi SM,
Wouldn't it be great for you if your players actually liked you? Actually liked what you were doing with the game? I know you feel that you owe us nothing, but think about yourself. Will your life not be better if you do not have 200 people wanting your head on a platter?

I never knew how much was paid for NEv, but if it came to letting it die years ago versus keeping it alive... what was best? Yes, I understand that it's the nature of the game that draws the interest to pour real cash into your labors... I've actually (and yes, NOW) contemplated the potential of donating... But, I do want to see where things go, and what happens before I comit towards it. I have a few better things to spend my time and money on, but it is my laziness that keeps me here... hehe

Well, there were a large number of players who WERE going to donate - Gunners pool had what, 1.6 - 1.8k which was just about to go in. I had even considered donating for the first time in years. The pool is now refunded and I am about as far as ever from thinking about donating again.
Hythos, your question about what was better? Let it die, saves the money time and heartache of the people who loved this game. Let it die while we have our good memories
